Depending on the season, you can fill your calendar with many local venues. Two local town pools are open to the public for a small fee and are five minutes from the house. A public golf course owned by the town is also very close by and have very reasonable fees. Other courses nearby include Roundout Country Club and Monhonk Mountain House. Napanoch is home to the Haunted Shanley Hotel that has been featured on television. The Shawangunk Wine Trail highlights all of the local vineyards that host tastings and tours. Horseback riding can be booked at Pine Ridge Dude Ranch. They also offer day passes to use their other facilities which include paint ball, spa services, indoor and outdoor pools, fishing ponds and a daily schedule of activities. Honors Haven is another resort that is very close to the house and has a recently renovated Spa and beautiful outdoor amenities. They also allow the general public to use their facilities and services for a daily fee. They have indoor and outdoor tennis courts, pools, a private lake and hiking/walking trails. They also offer a shuttle to the local ski slope and Resorts Casino. Resorts Casino and Mohonk Mountain House also offer public access to their facilities and are about 25-30 minutes from the house. Day-tripping to Bethel and Woodstock for music, shopping, restaurants and more is an easy drive with quick access to 209 and 55. Other great towns to visit include Rosendale, New Paltz, Stone Ridge and the city of Kingston. Each have their own cool vibes, history, art galleries, good eats, and plenty more. Napanoch is a hamlet in Ulster County, New York. It is at the junction of routes 209 and 55. This makes traveling to many favorite attractions and towns an easy car ride away. Napanoch is on the Shawangunk Ridge National Scenic Byway, and is part of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area. The O&A rail trail and the D&H canal parks can easily be accessed by bike or walking from the house. Local markets and the main street of town are also in walking distance. There is a small airport in Napanoch as well. So if you like to fly (or want to learn how) you can check it out. Restaurant row in Ellenville has many different cuisines and only a five minute drive from the house. Friday and Saturday nights is Ellenville StrEATS with live music and outdoor eating. The Paper Mill Restaurant is walkable from the house and hosts many bands, comedians and wedding venues.
