Whole house We live in the area and are accessible if needed. Lots of outdoor activities abound in the area locally or within a short drive. Enjoy hiking trails in the Allegheny National Forest. Canoeing, kayaking, bike riding are all popular activities in the area. Located off of the Longhouse National Scenic Byway in the Allegheny National Forest, the Trails at Jakes Rocks is 30+ mile is an expertly-designed, adventure mountain bike trail loop winding through natural boulders and scenic forested landscape. Being that Tidioute is such a small town we don't have a regular grocery store in town. Tidioute is home to the Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament, which is hosted during the last full weekend of September. The main events include the two-day main fishing tournament, a children's fishing derby, a carnival, and a parade. Also, since 2009, Tidioute has been the home to the World War II Reenactment of The Bridge at Remagen, a battle that took place in 1945. This takes place using the Tidioute Bridge over the Allegheny River and through the borough itself. This event happens the first weekend in August. The battle draws in many tourists from all over. The Allegheny river is similar to the Rhine River and the town of Remagen.
