We are perfectly located between Plymouth and Campton in the surrounds of New Hampshire's spectacular White Mountains, Waterville Valley, Newfound & Squam Lakes Regions, all within view of a tranquil country pond and the Pemigewasset River. Included a full breakfast! Built in 1764, this historic year-around retreat is tastefully restored and furnished with antiques with period accents. Common living room with cable TV and dining room for guests. All private room with private bath. All bedrooms are on the second floor. As guests in the house you will have a key to your room and to the back door off of the parking lot and you are free to come an go as you please. Off of the dinning room is a refrigerator for guests with an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages and space for leftovers from some of the marvelous restaurants in the area! There is a Keurig coffee maker in the dinning room with an assortment of coffee and teas. These are available 24/7. Fresh baked goods such as cookies, cakes and other treats are available in the afternoon and evening. Many guests enjoy using the breakfast porch to read or to set up their laptops to get work done. As the innkeepers at the Colonel Spencer Inn, we are here 7 days a week. Our living area is connected to the main house and we are available to help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Should you need us for anything we are a knock on the door away and if we have stepped out, the main number for the Inn rings to our cell phones. We are here to be as involved or un-involved with your stay as you are comfortable with. This is your ideal destination for any 4-season White Mountain, Waterville Valley, Newfound and Squam Lakes activities that are all within minutes of the Inn. Our location is perfect for biking, hiking, golfing, skiing, and especially travelers to Plymouth State University, The Holderness School, Laconia Motorcycle Week and others interested in antiquing, shopping, fine dining, local festivals and more! At Colonel Spencer Inn, our guests can get an early start to the day before heading out to discover our beautiful region with our full homemade country breakfast, featuring fresh New Hampshire local products when available, fresh baked coffee cake, french toast, bacon-cheddar twists with herbed baked eggs, omelettes, juices, fruit parfait, local NH maple syrup and the freshest custom roasted coffee in the area. Breakfast served from 8-9:30 am. Should your schedule require a somewhat earlier or later breakfast please let us know at check-in and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
