Come visit Basin View Acres Farm with incredible views, the World's Highest Tides, and the peace and quiet of rural Nova Scotia. Stroll down to the beach at low tide, frolic in the fields while watching for wildlife, book a tidal bore rafting tour, or enjoy a peaceful bonfire. There are so many ways to relax, yet still only an hours drive to Halifax making this an excellent home base for those longer stays. Step back in time while enjoying the modern comforts in this beautiful century home. Welcome to Basin View Acres Farm. This house was built by the O'Brien family ship builders in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The O'Brien family remained in the house for 100 years. There are many unique design features found through the home. Enjoy the wonderful old moldings and high ceilings, along with faux graining found on some of the doors and fun fancy doorbells. Dogs are welcome (max of 2 per stay) with an additional fee of $50 per stay. please remember to bring doggy bags to clean up after your pet. Bookings are based on 6 people. Additional guests can stay (up to 8 total) for an additional fee of $10/night/person. There is laundry onsite, as well as an unfortunately small dishwasher. There's a long driveway that can accommodate 3 vehicles along with a secondary driveway that can hold one more. Most things will require a drive to get to, unless you just want to stroll through the fields or down by the water. It's a quiet neighbourhood with mostly retirees, so definitely a place to come for the peace and quiet. Be sure to check out Burntcoat Head Park where the World's highest tides were recorded. Historic Walton lighthouse and Lawrence House Museum are excellent additions for the history buffs. Please note that we are indeed in Noel, not Maitland. This is a (Hidden by Airbnb) maps issue that we are attempting to correct. Please keep in mind that this is an old home. It has it's charms, but it won't be that brand new, sparkling and perfect facility that some may be looking for. If you're looking to maybe step back in time, with a few modern conveniences thrown in, then this may be the place for you! I can't wait to share this wonderful space with you.
