This is an AC unit..ask for our discounted rate if you don't want AC. AC for sleeping is included..but if you wish to use AC 24/7, it will be an additional fee of $15/day. Our property is SMOKE FREE, as are all public places on St Croix. Our beaches are beautiful. Studio with King bed, daybed with trundle, full kitchen, private fenced in patio. Great for single or couple with kids. Smart TV in this unit. This is one of five units available on the gated property known as Caribbean Breeze Apartments and Vacation Homes. We have three 1 bedroom units, two studio units, and a 1 plus bedroom unit. **PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION IN THE DETAILED LISTING** We have tried very hard to describe our property in detail, so you know what to expect from your stay with us! Ask about our special rates for extended stay's from June-October! Our town took a pretty hard hit from Maria. Mostly the buildings that had been abandoned prior to the storm. We lost lots of trees. Mother nature can be brutal, but she can also rebound very nicely! Our courtyard is not nearly as lush as the photo's.. but it is recovering very quickly. * upgrades and new furniture in this unit, as well as all new tile floors are now completed. Gated, SECURED COURTYARD. We are located 3 blocks from the waterfront, and 5 blocks from the pier and beautiful west-end beaches. This means we are RIGHT IN the HEART of the historic town of Frederiksted. Our property, like most on this sleepy little Caribbean island, is true open style living. You will not find glass windows here. We have screen and shutters to invite the outside in. True island living is about enjoying Nature! Although we are right in town, we do still have country noises. Not traffic jams, or even much traffic for that matter! But there is nature everywhere. Chickens and Roosters roam freely throughout the island, and in our courtyard, horses graze under trees, people have dogs..lots of them. We have pets on the property.. if you are allergic or don't like animals, our place probably isn't the right fit for you. In the fall and winter, the tree frogs come alive and it sounds like a concert! This is one of the many things we love about island living! If you find the need, you may close-up the shutters in the bedroom at night, and run the * AC..but we suggest you try it the island way first..invite the sounds of nature in...amazing! and isn't it part of why you chose to visit our beautiful island? Walk everywhere, beach, shops, restaurants! Owners live on-site. AC usage has a surcharge of .42/KWH, and will be payable upon checkout. Unit runs on about .75 KWH/hour, so it you leave it on while you are out, expect it to cost $10/$12 per 24 hour period. If you only use it at night for sleeping, you can cut that number in half. This unit also has 2 ceiling fans and a TRIPLE sliding glass door to the patio, so you can let the fresh air in. BBQ grill, sea kayak, snorkeling gear, for guests use. We also have two bicycles for rent on daily/weekly rates. Wifi in the courtyard and in rooms is provided at no extra charge. We can offer to arrange airport pick-up and drop off. We can also help you with tours, excursions and site-seeing. Just ask us! Due to the Corona Virus, we are limiting our interactions with guests. Caribbean Breeze was born out of our desire to share this magical island with you..and to embrace all of it's "flaws", while still offering a safe, comfortable at-home feeling in the apartments. Here you get a real feel for what life in the Caribbean means. You won't find big, luxury resorts but rather, an endless collection of funky, waterside bars and restaurants. You can hike through the green hills to tropical tidepools, or watch the sunrise from the eastern-most point in the United States. It's also home to Buck Island, a national Marine preserve and one of the best snorkeling destinations in the world. The people of St. Croix keep things authentic and the food and drinks are as good as anywhere in the islands. We are located on the west end of the island, just bellow the Rain Forrest, right in the center of the small waterfront town known as Frederiksted town. Walk to the waterfront to watch the sunsets, enjoy Sunset Jazz the 3rd Friday of every month, Christmas Carnival! is only 2 blocks over. Walk to the Christmas Village and all the concerts/rides/parades during the holiday season. Small town feel. Shops, restaurants and the most AMAZING sandy beaches on the island are right outside your door! Our island is not about glitz and (URL HIDDEN) about getting back to Nature, experiencing a culture "frozen in time" and exploring some of the most beautiful, unspoiled land AND beaches in the Caribbean..all found on US soil! Since we are located right in town, most places are a short walk. We do have Taxi-Vans that are $2.50 each way, as far as you wish to go, as well as great air conditioned buses that are only $1/trip. The bus schedule is a little unpredictable, but if you factor in a little extra time, it's ok. Also, we will provide airport pick-up/drop off, as well as one trip to the grocery store during your stay. We do have two rental cars available as well for daily/weekly rates. Just ask :) *AC has a Surcharge for usage..except for the week of Christmas, New Years and Spring Break (all of March) & Easter week, as prices for these weeks are higher. If you are renting monthly, electricity will be your responsibility to pay in addition to monthly rental fees. Trash, water, WIFI, gas, pest removal is included in monthly fees. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case pre-approved basis for an extra fee of $200 that is NON refundable. Also, if traveling during storm season.. be it summer hurricanes or winter snow, PLEASE purchase trip insurance!! We will rebook you for a later date in the future, but we do not refund for acts of God. Thank you!
