Rustic Farm House in Town This charming 150-year old farmhouse has lots of space and all the amenities. In addition to the 4 bedrooms, there is a double futon in the parlour. Convenient self check-in with electronic lock. Large backyard with pool and BBQ in the summer. Fully equipped kitchen. It is located a 10 minute walk from St FX campus and a 15 minute walk to downtown. Ample easy parking. This house has all the character and charm of an old house, and also many of the caveats. It is creaky and can be drafty. The spiral wooden staircase is well-worn and can be slippery. Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of 2 storage rooms. I will often be out of town but my co-host Karen is a phone call away if there are any issues. There are 2 schools close by with excellent playgrounds , basketball hoops and playing fields. Downtown and the university are within walking distance. Cabs are usually $6 anywhere in town. There is a basic public transportation system. Many beautiful beaches are located within a 10 and 40 minute drive from the house.
