Shuttle service operates between Lanai Airport, Manele Boat Harbor (where ferries from Maui arrive and depart), Four Seasons Manele Bay Resort, Manele Bay and Lanai Town. $10 per person each way from one point to another. The shuttle will sometimes drop you off directly in front of the house (depending on who the driver is). If renting a car, Dollar Car Rental is a leasurely 10-minute stroll from the house. Once you have a vehicle, you can park on the premises at no charge. The Lanai Recreational Center is a 5-minute walk from the house and offers a heated pool and water aerobics, a basketball court. For general grocery needs, there are three supermarkets (all approximately 5 minutes by foot). The largest of the three is Richard's Market, which offers a exceptional selection of deli and produce, a large wine selection, pastries and grab-and-go food items. Coffeeworks is less than 5 minutes away by foot. As the name implies, it serves variations of coffee, pastries and light breakfast items. There are various restaurants in the Town Square. A map of the Town Square will be provided to you at check-in. Arriving guests can also find it in the Check In segment of this listing, which Airbnb will make visible to arriving guests on their day or arrival. The most accessible swimming beach is Hulopoe Bay, which is a public beach at the foot of the Four Seasons Manele Bay Resort. Other points of interest on the Lanai if you're in an adventurous mood: Shipwreck Beach, Garden of The Gods, Polihua Beach, The Munro Trail. These are all off-road destinations that will require a 4X4 vehicle. For sunset-watching try the Lanai Harbor, which is accessible by car and is a 20-minute drive from town. Or visit the Cat Sanctuary (also approx. 20 minutes away and also accessible by car). Other activies such as bike tours, hiking expedition, off-road excursions via all-terrain vehicles, horseback riding, golf, whale-watching, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, guided UTV tours through Lanai's upland terrain, and other activities may be booked through the Adventure Center at the Four Seasons Manele Bay Resort.
