With everything you need to be comfortable while getting a feel for Saint Lucia both off the beaten track yet so close to so many amazing sights and popular destinations! We are close to sulfur springs, the pitons ,beautiful beaches several waterfalls and much more!. Walking distance to river,hot springs and waterfalls! Our comfortable 2 bedroom apartment comes equipped with a full kitchen that has all you need to cook any meal you desire. The living room is connected to provide plenty of social and family space. We can offer 2 extra beds for an added fee if you desire and there is a great hammock on the balcony where you can relax and enjoy the island breeze and a taste of a local community. Here at IYANOLA we are so happy to help you have the best trip possible.. with a private entrance to your fully equipped apartment you have everything you need to be independent.. although one of greatest benefits of residing over our family’s home is the well know and loved Chef Gilda aka “Ma Bose”.. we are so happy to be able to offer her amazing menu with every option from local juice and typical creole dishes to fine dining that will satisfy even the most gourmet taste! Most meals require a reservation although please feel free to ask for anything anytime and if she can accommodate you she will be happy to do so (Website hidden by Airbnb) We have laundry facilities on site that you can access with notice and also offer a full laundry service. We offer transportation ,wether it’s airport pick ups, drop offs anywhere on island or more complete tours.. we are here to help get you where you want go! We our proud to offer quite a diverse selection of exiting excursions to various classes and opportunities for learning about local culture and traditions! Possibilities include cooking local cuisine, making the famous coco stick, making coconut oil, processing cinnamon stick, weaving of local fibers, garden tours, and visiting any of the beautiful sights and attractions! All classes take place at our family’s home on site and are very casual and can be formatted to your desires. Full packages also available.. From making to taking or jus watching and enjoying, you are sure to absorb some real Caribbean culture and add to your lovely vacation a taste of the real Saint Lucia! We are here to help you in anyway we can! We share this rental with our family who will be residing below your apartment. They are there for whatever you might need on the day to day. Although we are rarely on sight ,we are available by phone or email to answer any questions and to assist with any plans or reservations with us or elsewhere on the island. Don’t hesitate to ask.. we are happy to be of assistance. Otherwise we respect your privacy! The neighborhood is a typical rural community. From the road you enter the pathway, crossing the bridge over the river,passing by the bakery and arriving at your apartment. It’s about a two min walk.. the community or neighborhood rests along a pretty river with little waterfalls and fresh springs. Walking down the road from our home about 15 min,( 3 min drive) you reach a lovely hot springs known as New Jerusalem, a favorite of ours for many reasons! Toraille waterfalls is about a 2 drive and about a 7 min drive to soufriere town and beautiful beaches( possible to walk if you like although its steep!:) 15 min to the famous sulfur springs, 25 min to the pitons. We offer our taxi service for the easiest hassle free transportation. If you wish to rent a car that is also a great way to see the island! Please do note that you will b parking on the road about a 2 minute walk from your apartment. The local bus passes down a steep hill from the apartment about a 7-10 minute walk. If you like walking you are able to reach many beautiful places on foot.. jus remember your in the hills! Our place is set up for four guests, if you would like us to accommodate you for more people there is a possibility of 2 more extra beds for an added fee of $10 per person for up to 3 more people. Also please be aware that the apartment might not be suitable for children. We do have ours when we are there still do so at your own risk! The stairs up to entrance can get slippery with rains and this has been a concern of ours.. Please keep in mind that like most everywhere on the island, there are mosquitoes! Come prepared with something from home or you can try any of the many products they have here on the island. Not all people are affected by them jus good idea to keep in mind! If you love reggae music, you are coming to the right place! Like most typical Lucian communities, here you will often hear it playing from neighbors.. sometimes even inside your apartment! We enjoy this when we are there , although if that would be an issue for you, this is probably not the place:) Also to note that as this is a family of farmers, so there is always fresh vegetables and fruits for sale! Please feel free to ask for what you want and they will be happy to harvest for you or get elsewhere if needed:)
