Enjoy a private camping experience in northern Michigan with a view of Fife Lake! Your camping spot is situated in an open area surrounded by woods behind my house. Relax in a spacious Palomino camper and enjoy the lake views, sit by the campfire, listen to loons and other wildlife, or unwind in the hammock--a perfect summer getaway for families, couples, or singles! -1 mile from downtown Fife Lake and beach/boating access -Easy 5 minute walk to Mirror Lake on 2nd street—this is where you can access the kayaks and paddleboat from our other property -35 minute drive to Traverse City and Torch Lake -Quiet, peaceful location with a beautiful view of Fife Lake and islands (please note that there is not direct access to Fife Lake, only a view) -Please be advised that this is a camping spot in the woods, so bugs may be around/in the camper if screen door isn’t shut tightly while entering and exiting the camper. My sister lives in the house on the property. I’m about 30 mins away, but you can easily reach me by phone or text. I stop by frequently to check on things and clean/maintain the area. Although some people live year-round in this area, it is primarily a vacation spot with many cabins and cottages rented by guests on the lake. This location offers many opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts during each season. In the fall, people come up to see the beautiful colors, and often stop here on their way to the tunnel of trees in Petoskey. In the winter, Fife Lake is usually blanketed with fresh powder, making it an attractive destination to snowmobile, ski, snowshoe, and ice-fish. In spring, life comes alive with blooming wildflowers and wildlife awakening from hibernation. The peak travel time is the summer, where guests have a plethora of options to enjoy nature by boating or swimming in the lake, taking ATVs on the north country trails, or just relaxing on the beach. Its nearby proximity to Traverse City makes it a convenient location for travelers wishing to tour wineries, see Sleeping Bear Dunes, and enjoy local breweries.
