Heritage spot with near 360 degree lake view

A 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage with a bed in the sunroom just a 5 minute drive south and east of the town of Gimli. It is located at an idyllic spot, with an amazing panoramic view of the lake and the stunning sunrises and sunsets. The home, located at the historical site of the immigrant landing of the Icelanders in 1875. Private boat launch and only hour from Winnipeg. Listing in May, June, September, and October. Also, featuring Wifi, north and south decks and large parking pad. Unlike other cottages/cabins on the island, ours is heated. You can enjoy your stay in any season we have available and stay comfortable by doing so. Beach walks are just as amazing in the mornings as they are in the evenings! I usually respond very quickly to guests with any questions or concerns at any time they may inquire. One of us are always available as well to come down and help out or fix something that may need attention. The road is fantastic to bike ride or take a walk down towards the end of the island towards the east. If you feel adventurous, you may take the 1 or more dikes that bend out into the lagoon area. Not to worry, you can’t get lost as the dikes wrap around and come back out into the road again. Please bring your walking shoes and/or your bicycles! The cottage is on a small private drive coming into it so you will not be directly on the main drag. The south deck blocks you from prevalent north and west winds as does the north deck for south winds. Try your luck in seashell or lucky stone findings and cruise the beach as far as Gimli for ice cream if you’re feeling extra energetic(approximately 45 minute walk)
