The WEEKESVIEW Cottage

The WEEKESVIEW, circa 1913 is hosted by the 3rd & 4th generation of the Weekes family. This cottage has been recently renovated. New paint, floor, countertops, bathroom and kitchen fixtures as well as a 300 sq ft deck for your outdoor leisure. Ductless Air Conditioner to cool down main living area. Fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, Wifi, BBQ, and more. Short 3 minute walk to beach, GTs, Buccaneer, Mackies, Shebaz Shwarma. LCBO, Port Stanley Theatre and downtown shops just a short walk. Guests will have full access to the entire cottage and deck. We live a short distance away so usually can be available if needed. Port Stanley is found on the north shore of Lake Erie in Central Elgin County in Ontario. In the early 1900s Port Stanley was the main tourist attraction on the lake. Weekesview was originally built in 1913 during the height of that tourist era not long after the famous Mackie's which was built in 1911. Port Stanley is known for its large "Blue Flag" beach which is only a 3 minute walk from Weekesview. It is also known for its wonderful boutiques, antique shops, railroad, art galleries, dining and theatre. All are only a few minutes walk from Weekesview. Parking is available at the Cottage. Description of where to park will be provided upon booking. There is also paid parking during the daytime (10 am to 5 pm) about 50 ft away for $10.00 per day. "Foodland" grocery store in town is about a 5 minute drive from the cottage or 15-20 minute walk. It carries almost everything you need. Fresh markets are also a short drive out of town along the highway. Bookings are for a 2 day minimum.
