Summary: Built in 1914 and located on the Klamath River in the historic town of Requa, the Requa Inn has been delighting guests for over 100 years. Nestled on Requa Hill amidst old growth redwoods in Redwood National Park where the Klamath River meets the ocean, each of the 14 rooms are unique, some with magnificent views of the Klamath River, others of the manicured flower gardens. Walking paths, river views, and the peace and quiet of the forest provide the perfect backdrop for a tranquil getaway on the ancient land of the Yurok tribe. The Space: Formerly the town of Requa’s post office, this space features a Queen sized bed in a small bedroom, a walk-in shower in a tiled bathroom and an adjoined living room featuring bamboo floors, a seating area and a pull-out couch that turns into a Queen bed. There is a kitchen with an oven and refrigerator for you to use. The Post Office has a private, outdoor entrance, is on the street level and faces the River. There’s a bubbling brook alongside the room most of the year. Guest Access: There is a private entrance to this room. Guests receive a welcome letter with check-in information and instructions for keyless entry prior to arrival. The Neighborhood: Located on land once inhabited by the native Yurok tribe in the heart of a series of co-managed redwood parks, this region has been declared both an international biosphere reserve and world heritage site. Getting Around: Walking distance to the onsite restaurant, numerous hiking trails, and a short drive to the Trees of Mystery, beaches, river access, world-class fishing, and other local scenic points of interest. Interaction with Guests: You’ll have all the privacy you need and our staff is just a phone call away. We are always available to assist our guests in making plans to enjoy the Del Norte redwood coast.
