My Beautiful House is located in the heart of the historic district of Micanopy, Florida. Relaxing is a breeze in this wonderful home. Two large bedrooms and two equally spacious living areas are furnished with comfort in mind. There are two televisions with Directv service and free WiFi. The large backyard has lots of space and privacy! Established in 1821, Micanopy is the oldest inland town and the town that time forgot. Convenient to both Gainesville and Ocala via I-75 and SR 441. Welcome to My Beautiful House! Located in the heart of the Historic District of Micanopy; My Beautiful House sits directly across the street from the Historic Herlong Mansion! Built in 1947, My Beautiful House is well appointed, has lots of curb appeal and charm. With nearly 2000 square feet, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your stay in My Beautiful House! Inside My Beautiful House there are two large bedrooms that suites a King and a Queen. Ample closet space unheard of for the time period of construction. (1947) There are two equally sized spacious living areas. The living room sofa has a pull-out queen mattress for extra guests (and a breathtaking view of the Herlong Mansion). Both living areas have a television; each with Directv service. Extra linens can be found in the hall closet. Free WiFi! In the kitchen: I provide coffee! I have a Keurig coffee station stocked with a variety of an assortment of coffees, creams, and sugars. I have pots, pans, utensils, dish-ware and bakeware. There's a microwave and a toaster too. There is NOT an automatic dishwasher so please wash any dishes you use. Featuring its original pink and white tile; there is only one bathroom for the house. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a separate, full sized tub. For your convenience I provide a variety of shampoos, conditioners, and body wash. There is also a teak shower seat available if you need to sit while you shower. Stepping outside, into the backyard, you will find the oversized solar LED lit patio umbrella, charcoal grill, and fireplace. A perfect private setting for outdoor dining to be enjoyed anytime; day or night. If shopping and dining out is your pleasure, please be sure to check out the local cafes, antique shops, and art galleries. There is a Museum, Library, Cemetery, Post Office, and so much more! All within walking distance of my front door. Convenience! My Beautiful House is located a mere minute away from both I-75 and SR 441. Gainesville is the closest city at only 11 miles away. Also close by are the towns of Williston (15 miles) and Hawthorne (19 miles) as well as the City of Ocala (29 miles). For those who love nature: there are lots of local parks and preservation areas nearby. Tuscawilla state park, Barr Hammock, and Paynes Prarie are the closest at less than three miles away. Check in the secretary desk in the Florida/Sun room for more great places to visit! When you reserve My Beautiful House, you are getting access to the whole house. For your convenience there are three entrances to the house: Front, back, and garage. Parking curbside is usually available but not always guaranteed. There is an attached garage on the back side of the house. When parking, if you’d prefer not to park curbside, please do not park in the shared portion of the driveway. The driveway continues around the house to the private backyard/garage. Inside the house is very spacious! Although there are only two bedrooms, they are BIG! The sofa in the living room has a Queen sized pull-out mattress for extra guests There's also a nice sized sectional in the Florida room for which at least one maybe two could sleep... For guests who like to cook their own meals, I have stocked the kitchen with ample cooking utensils. There's a formal dining room as well as a high top table with chairs in the Florida room. In the garage you will find the washer and dryer. You may use if you need. I keep cleaning supplies and detergents in the closet next to the washing machine labeled "Cleaning Supplies." I have set up my house to be your house while you are here and I will not disturb you during your visit. If you need my assistance during your stay I can be reached via Airbnb or on my cell phone. *For extended stays (28 days or more) price includes weekly cleaning service! Quiet and peaceful is the town of Micanopy. Local antique shops and cafe's are within easy walking distance. Nearby is the University of Florida in Gainesville! Located only 11 miles north it's a quick 12 minute drive. Local antique shops and dining are in within walking distance of the front door. Depending on your fitness level a bike can get you pretty far. McIntosh is close by at 6 miles south and Gainesville is 11 miles north for which most require a car. Equally convenient is Ocala, just travel in the southbound direction. Takes about 20-40 minutes depending on your route and speed. Cleanliness is and always been a priority to me. In today’s stressful pandemic with Coronavirus please allow me to reassure you, My Beautiful House is completely cleaned between every reservation. Every surface gets cleaned. Every door handle, light switch, chair back.... Etc.! The kitchen and bathroom is thoroughly sanitized, I do not guess if beds were slept in or not. Both beds are stripped and all linens and towels/washcloths are laundered (including comforters)! I have plenty of extras clean linens for each reservation! I dust regularly, I use an allergy friendly vacuum cleaner, and I mop the entire house prior to check-in for of every reservation. For your comfort (and my own) I prefer that you do not wear your shoes inside. The flooring is all original to the house (now 72 years young) and is mainly wood. (The bathroom and Florida room both have tile) Although there is plenty of parking curb-side and in the rear, the driveway is shared; Please do not park in the shared portion.
