Stay at this open, bright, retreat-like condo that's nestled in the trees, just a 20 minute direct drive to Portland, and 25 minutes to/from the Portland airport in the other. The large, open, top level, corner-unit windows and balcony showcases your view of the east valley to Mt. Hood, and north to St. Helens. This condo underwent a complete remodel in late 2018, complete with the overall design, adding the highest quality fixtures, appliances, cabinetry, and radiant heat flooring throughout. When in the condo, you'll have a comfortable queen bed in the simple, elegant bedroom, that features new cork flooring. There is drawer-space as well as ample hanging-space available to unpack and feel more at home rather than living out of a suitcase. In the living room is a deep, Italian sofa that makes a great additional sleeping spot (not a pull-out), and I also have a queen-size aero-bed that can accommodate another one or two sleepers. The bathroom was remodeled in early 2018 - a complete overhaul provides you a clean, tiled entry with radiant (heated) flooring, a glass, walk-in shower, and a spa-like vanity deserving of the best hotels around the world. The kitchen has also been completely overhauled. There is ample refrigerator space available, a dishwasher, convection oven, and microwave... plus all the cooking tools you need. Details and finishes matter to me - you'll enjoy custom walnut cabinets, quartz countertop, and high-quality German appliances. Overall, all rooms (including the bathroom, kitchen, den, and hallway) are clutter-free and have new cork flooring throughout, with newly installed radiant flooring! The entire condo has a very clean, minimalist feel to it - easy for any guest to feel and make themselves at home, and less like they are entering into someone else's living space. The condo is priced a bit higher, to accommodate guests who are willing to pay slightly over Airbnb's "smart pricing". The quality of all furniture (authentic pieces designed by Eames, Saarinen, Hans Wegner and others), and the entire space you'll be living in, won't leave you disappointed, nor will the level of service you'll receive, as you can trust from past reviews over all the years. Parking for two vehicles is available on site for no additional cost. Please be aware that there are 23 steps leading up to the condo. For entertainment, you're welcome to use the brand new 65" Samsung HD cable television. There is WiFi, as you'll be able to log on my secure guest network. Through the Smart TV setup, you can access your Netflix, MLB, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu subscriptions and more, if you have an account. Out the sliding glass doors is a covered balcony that looks out to Mt. Hood and the eastern part of Oregon. It's a great little spot where you can sit with a glass of wine in the evening, a cup of coffee in the morning, or even watch some TV outdoors, again making using use of the Smart TV apps. Even if it's chilly or rainy, curl up with a blanket and sip your day away while you watch the hummingbirds flitter nearby. Outside, and all within walking distance, are a trendy pub and eatery, two coffee shops (yes, Starbucks), a market, more restaurants, and perhaps best of all, your condo will be directly across from a gorgeous, expansive park, complete with nature trails, fields, and easy river access. In another ten miles, you're in downtown Portland, and can be having a stroll on Waterfront Park, browsing the aisles at Powell's Books, exploring the trendy Pearl district, or sipping coffee at any of the five Stumptown Coffee locations. A simple, non-transfer bus-line (#35) gets you there as well if you don't have a car - with a stop right from the base of the condo. The acclaimed OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University) tram is a straight-shot away, a mere 8.5 miles, often doable in less than 20 minutes. For residents, employees, applicants, students, and tourists, the location of my condo can prove a convenient and price-friendly housing option. You're only 1.5 miles from the freeway (I-205), a direct fifteen miles from the airport. You can take the freeway north to the Columbia River, where in under 30 minutes you can either go into Washington State or head east on the Oregon side on Hwy. 84 along the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Explore hundreds of waterfalls, hikes, or other famous landmarks like Multnomah Falls and Beacon Rock. Upon booking a stay, guests will receive an online "guidebook" to specific places around West Linn and Portland that I am particularly fond of, complete with my own special recommendations! I believe you'll find me a great host - working with you before, during, and after, to make sure your stay is all you could want. I have had opportunities to travel my entire life so I can appreciate a living space that is comfortable, clean, and allows anyone to easily make their home away. Guests have access to my entire one-bedroom condo. I will provide as much interaction as you need, but typically, that's very little. I will get you the keys, then stay out of your way! Mary S Young Park just across the street! Trail walks, playtime in the fields, or sitting along the river. Two Starbucks, two grocery markets within a short distance. More than anything I appreciate that my neighborhood is safe, accessible to Portland and the airport, is quiet, clean, and full of things to do! Yes! The 35 line picks you up and drops you off right at the bottom of my hill, and takes you all the way into both SW and NW Portland, with no transfers needed.
