Ideally located right in front of the river in a colonial house, the Casa Amarilla is a haven of tranquility enabling the town's economy to thrive through tourism. We have roof terraces, a garden, ample sitting rooms, wifi and plenty of information. Our small guesthouse has but 10 rooms and is located in front of the Magdalena River. Situated in an original colonial mansion that dates back to the 16th century. All rooms have been recently remodeled and come with all that you need in the way of wifi, air con, ceiling fan, tastefully finished en-suite bathrooms, and cable TV. Included is a hearty breakfast of locally sourced fruit and eggs. Our friendly staff will ensure you make the most of your time here in this forgotten UNESCO World Heritage town whether it be relaxing in our internal garden, on the roof terrace, checking out the silver workmanship in the local jewelry or taking an ecological/ birdwatching tour into the nearby wetlands. We can help you organize it all, suggest itineraries and of course aid you with the logistics of getting here and then on to your next destination. For over three years now our Casa Amarilla and Mompos has played host to writers, journalists, photographers, historians and nature lovers, amongst others, all drawn in by the charm of this remote town.
