This Asian inspired vacation home with Wifi is situated within the beautiful 80 acre Balenbouche Estate. Banyan can sleep up to 6 people and includes a kitchen, living area, and 2 bathrooms with outdoor and indoor shower and tub. Two secluded beaches are just a five minute walk away. The island's best attractions are within a 15 - 30 minute drive, including hiking trails, waterfalls, volcano and snorkeling. Our other listings include Almond, Waterlily, Frangipani and Calabash! This comfortable and spacious 1200 sq ft rental home is surrounded by lush greenery and majestic banyan trees. The cottage incorporates Asian and Caribbean design, such as fretwork, hardwood floors, and a beautiful outdoor shower built with natural stones. The Banyan sleeps up to 6 people and offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and veranda. Every bedroom comes equipped with mosquito nets, standing fans, and a lockable area for valuables. The entire rental home and the surrounding private 80 acre property is accessible to guests. Two beaches are within walking distance, and activities such as yoga, massages and guided tours are offered on site. The historic plantation house serves as a common area where guests can use wifi and have breakfast or dinner by prior reservation. A local restaurant is a 5 minute walk away. The Banyan house is part of the Balenbouche Plantation Guesthouse & Heritage site, which offers 5 rental cottages, a historic Plantation House and restaurant, an 18th century sugar mill, an organic farm and two beaches within walking distance. You can choose to prepare your own breakfast and meals in the kitchen of the rental home, or reserve meals with us. Our German-American-St Lucian family has lived and worked at Balenbouche for over 30 years and looks forward to having you stay with us and helping you get to know our beautiful island! Balenbouche is in a great base for exploring the island, it is strategically located between the Hewanorra international airport and the town of Soufriere, which is famous for its many sights and attractions such as diving, waterfalls, rainforest, botanical gardens, and restaurants. Our neighborhood is very rural and residential, but there is a restaurant and small convenience store within walking distance. Two of the islands most beautiful beaches in Vieux Fort and Laborie, are within a 5 and 15 minute drive. During the 14 day quarantine, you can take taxis to the sites and attractions and some restaurants, and we can arrange for grocery and meal delivery. If you stay on longer, we suggest renting a car for at least a few days. The public buses operate between towns from 6 am - 6 pm every day except Sundays and holidays, and do not have a schedule. The average wait time is 20 minutes, and you can get on and off anywhere along the road. Our buildings do not have air conditioning or screens, as they are built in a tropical, traditional and eco-friendly style. Balenbouche Estate is most suitable for nature lovers and travelers wishing to experience beautiful, peaceful natural surroundings and authentic island life.
