Bungalow El Olivo

Cozy bungalow located in quiet and secure pueblo of Lachigolo. Relax outside in the hammock or enjoy the crosswinds of the open floor plan. Perfect for a solo stay or a couple looking for peace and relaxation between excursions to the sites along the famous Ruta de Mezcal! We are about 15 minutes from downtown Oaxaca. Bungalow El Olivo is just 5 minutes from El Tule, 15 minutes from Teotitlan, 20 minutes from Tlacolula and 30 minutes from Mitla. This is a wonderful base for exploring the pueblos and ruins of the valley east of Oaxaca. I am just a short 5 minute drive from the bungalow in Santa Catarina. I will be available to guests throughout their stays for any questions or requests! Lachigolo is small but conveniently located pueblo. You will be able to find any essential items for your stay at one of the small bodegas around the neighborhood. We have a couple wonderful bakeries with fresh Oaxaca sweet breads and a fantastic restaurant walking distance from the house; Rancho el Origen! Not too many tourists in this area, but the local residents are welcoming to everyone no matter your level of Spanish! We are three blocks from the main highway where busses, taxis and colectivos passing by all day and late into the evening. There is a car rental business just five minutes from the bungalow in Tule and there is parking space available on site.
