Glenwood Getaway

1860's log cabin, remodeled into a modern house. Located 8 miles east of Decorah on 5 acres of woods. Cell service is weak (Verizon, US Cell) or not available (others). No WiFi. TV with local BluRay/DVD/VHS only. Come here to get away. The last mile to the house is a gravel road. It's not every day that you can live in an old log house and have most of the amenities of a modern home. We hope you enjoy experiencing a bit of the past and a bit of nature, in comfort. We live in Decorah and are generally available when needed. The house is located in rural Winneshiek County in a wooded area with few neighbors nearby. It is very secluded, although you may hear dogs or cows in the distance. Wildlife includes birds, bats, deer, fox, etc. Decorah has a couple of taxi services. There is parking for up to several cars at the house. The rental house is 8 miles east of Decorah, nestled in 5 acres of woods. The last mile to the house is a gravel road. In winter, please be aware that the gravel road and the driveway may not get plowed right away - it could take up to a day or so. Hunting is not allowed on the property.
