Pine Cone Cottage at River Rock Gardens & Cottages

The Pine Cone Cottage is one of three separate cottage rooms at River Rock Gardens. It features a queen bed with a wonderful view of the gardens through French doors. It has a small bathroom w/shower. The kitchen area has a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster and small refrigerator. The kitchen is NOT set up for any kind of major cooking - Please plan accordingly. We do have wildlife/security cameras on the property. None that violate your privacy. The pool is heated from mid-May to mid-September. We are sorry, but we do not accept pets. The Lewiston Animal Clinic does board dogs and cats. It is about 2 miles from our home. WE DO NOT RENT TO SMOKERS as the odor remains on clothing and then lingers in the rooms after they leave, which is not fair to the next guests. Plus, I cannot tolerate the odor. If you are a smoker, please do not ask to stay here. We do not encourage a lot young children here as we do have 3 ponds, a pool and we are located on a river. Children must always have an adult near by. We are usually available to help answer questions about where to go and what to do. We are available via text at (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) or (Email hidden by Airbnb) This room is not set up with a full kitchen, nor do we provide pots and pans. We do not permit full-on cooking. Just warming up snacks and the like. Please, no cooking of onions, fish, curry or other foods that leave a pungent odor. We are considered ‘rural residential” and have about four acres along the river. Our roads are a bit narrow but still safe for walking. There are no street lights on our road so it is quite dark at night. Great for star gazing! Bring your own lawn blankets! We are about 2-3 miles from restaurants and historic Lewiston. There are no regular bus services. There are three hybrid wolf dogs that live across the river and they do howl during the day. Their owners considerately pen them at night, so they should do disturb your stay. We have four orange male cats who roam freely during the day. Roy has a major heart defect and so wants a lot of loving! He will show up in your car, your cottage and often leaping onto your chest! Just wave them off if you do not want cats near you. We are not fishermen, so suggest you check the web page for Herb or Pat at the Trinity Fly Shop in Lewiston for any kind of fishing information.
