Set in the lush Hills of St David. The perfect spot to rest and reset. This Eco-retreat is a balance of village living & seclusion. It is close to La Sagesse beach and perfect for strolls and hikes in the nearby hills. Five minutes down into the valley there’s a small river perfect for a quick cooling off, or a moment of rainforest meditation. Ideal for between 2 and 7 guests. There are two bedrooms, one on a mezzanine with double bed, the other off the main living area with a double futon and private verandah. A third bedroom, with single daybed which opens to a double, can be created by closing off an area in the main space. In addition to this there is a second daybed in the main living area and one on the main verandah. It was built as a labour of love, using as much natural and reclaim as we could. It's nearly 100% off-grid, with Solar and wind. Located at the top of a valley with the gentle sound of the river below and a magical mountain breeze. A seven minute drive from La Sagesse & Grenada Marine. Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, juicers and blenders to make the most of the local fruits in season An antidote to so very much. The house is nestled into the top end of the village of Dudmar, at the foot of petit Etang Mountain. On one side of the house, facing a wall of rainforest, there is cool mountain breeze that even on the warmest of days is both refreshing and inspiring. On the other side, there is a warmer coastal vista that looks onto the kitchen garden. The property that was designed and built with the environment in mind. The plan was always to use as much recycled, upcycled and natural building materials, so as you go around the property, you’ll probably notice an eclectic mix of décor and fixings. It is powered by both wind and sun, which supply more than enough energy for low impact living. For more energy consuming products the grid can always be called on. Depending on the season there are often of fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices in the garden that are there for your own use. There is a viewing post at the top of the house that has stunning panormic views. Also a coastal facing veranda attached to one of the bedrooms The house is sutable for children , but there are some exposed areas care should be taken. Island trips and local hikes can be arranged. This property is set back from the road in a typically Grenadian super-friendly village. There is a local bus about a 7 minute walk through the village away that will take you on a scenic route into town. There is a cat, snowy who hangs around -Just so you know.
