Yopie’s Country Cottage

Cozy cottage for up to two people, located centrally on PEI in Hunter River. The cottage is made of natural cedar- enjoy quiet, peace and beautiful views! We will greet you upon arrival with fresh homemade baking. If you stay a minimum of three nights (October 18-January 1) you will receive one free breakfast or dinner for two people - your choice! Cozy 320 square foot cottage suitable for one or two people. The cottage is located on our 54-acre property in beautiful rural Hunter River, just 15 minutes to Cavendish and 15 minutes to Charlottetown. The Confederation Trail is just two minutes away – a wonderful trail for walking and biking. You can also take a meander through our wooded trails. We live on a farm with goats, cows, chickens, guinea fowl, rabbits, peacocks, pigs, dogs and cats. The cottage is made with all-natural cedar, known to have a soothing and calming effect. It hosts a comfortable euro-top queen bed with 100% cotton sheets, small fridge, cook-top, microwave and table. Enjoy sitting on our deck in the rocking chair, taking in the beautiful views while enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside. Our main house is just a few steps away, where you have the option to enjoy a delicious homemade organic 3-course farm breakfast. Examples of breakfast include fresh muffins or bread; yogurt and granola or fruit; bacon & eggs, pancakes or french toast casserole. Please indicate you would like to have breakfast upon booking, along with any allergies. If there is no request for breakfast, I will assume you do not want breakfast. Breakfast payment is due after breakfast - $15 per adult per morning and $10 per child per morning. Breakfast is available from June 1st to September 24th. From September 25th to December 31st the breakfast option is only available on weekends. We have fibre-optic internet available in the cottage. Absolutely no smoking of any kind allowed on property anywhere. Only registered guests are allowed on the property. If you wish to interact with the farm animals, please let us know and we'd be happy to give you a guided tour - including a chance to milk the goat and feed the livestock. We are available at any point you need something - just knock on the door! Historic Hunter River has some unique options for food and entertainment including the Mill (Website hidden by Airbnb) and The Harmony House Theatre (Website hidden by Airbnb) The Confederation Trail is just 2 minutes away - great for walking and biking! Absolutely no smoking on property allowed. Only registered guests allowed on property. Please be sure to leave cottage how you found it including dishes washed, dried and put away. No pets allowed - as much as we love animals most pets aren't accustomed to farm animals, which causes stress on our critters. We do have a fire pit, which is available for use, weather permitting.
