Jungle Cabina at Casas Colorado
The Jungle Cabina at Casas Colorado has a open floor plan design that is small and rustic, but has everything you need for comfort. There is studio kitchen complete with refrigerator and 4 burner stove top as well as a small kitchen table for dining. There is a double-bed on the first floor with a brand new mosquito net. In the Loft there is a double bed that is accessed using a ladder and a mini-sofa downstairs for lounging. Great for a couple or solo travelers. The Jungle Cabina is small, cute & recently updated with a new WiFi system that will be on from around 8am to about 8pm daily. It runs on a passive solar system, so if the sun is strong, it might be on longer The Cabina is just under 320 square feet or 29 meters square. It is a great space for people who enjoy Tiny Houses. Like all of the places out here in Cabo Matapalo, the Cabina is totally off the grid. The stove and refrigerator run on propane gas and there is a brand new solar light in the kitchen for cooking. You are welcome to charge your devices whenever the generator is running or bring external battery pack or mini solar charging device. You can charge small hand held devices during the day at my place too, just ask !! All guests are welcome to enjoy any fruits or greens from the Garden. Typically there is an abundance of ginger, turmeric, & Lemmon grass, which is nice for tea I am available for all sorts of activities.. I offer Surf Lessons, Kayak Tours, Fishing Tours, and Nature Hikes. I also offer a Experience tour through Airbnb, it is called surfing and visit a Organic Garden Here is the link if you would like to book in advance. https://abnb.me/EVmg/vGh9fL2RaJ There are several beautiful beaches, About three minutes walking is Backwash beach And Pan Dulce beach is just another 5 minutes past There are a couple of waterfalls 20 to 30 minutes walking from the house Once you are here you don’t really need to drive If you are traveling without a rental car there are two "colectivos" or buses daily leaving Puerto Jimenez from Soda Thompson's at 6:30a.m. & 1:30p.m. Otherwise it is fairly easy to find, however if you are coming in at night bring a headlamp so you can see better. Bring a headlamp because there are no street lamps to light the way. I definitely recommend bringing a external back-up battery for charging your devices. You are welcome to charge anything when the generator is running. Make sure you stock up on all your supplies in Puerto Jimenez because there are no stores out here. Sometimes it is easier to buy extra than to go back to town. Also, there is limited charging capabilities at the house. Charging cell phones is easy but if you plan on using a computer for work, the generator will need to be turned on. Typically it is only on, to top the solar batteries at the end of the day or if it is very cloudy.
