It is an ideal starting point for numerous activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, or excursions to the ancient Indian city "Ciudad Perdida". Furthermore, this part of Colombia is appreciated by ornithologists due to its many species of birds. Nestled between the Rio Gaira and the Rio Arimaca at 650 meters altitude, Minca has a pleasantly cooler climate than Santa Marta. A rich variety of plants line the roads and paths that lead to the various attractions in the area. From Santa Marta: Taxi The Santa Marta taxis are easily identifiable by their yellow color. The price is negotianable, there are no taximeters. Bolivar - taxi directly to Minca: COP 70'000 approximate travel time: 35 minutes Bolivar - taxi via Buena Vista Mall: COP90'000 approximate travel time: 60 minutes   Colectivo (shared taxi) The Colectivo starts from the Estacion Minca in the „Mercado“ in Santa Marta (Calle 11 con Calle 12).It starts, as soon as there are enough passengers. Colectivo price: COP 8'000* per person approximate travel time: 60 minutes   Mototaxi Take a Busseta with the inscription "Yucal" from the center of Santa Marta and get off after the bridge over the railroad tracks.A Tienda with the collection point of the Moto taxis is located on the left side. Mototaxi price: COP 9'000* / per person / approximate travel time: 40 minutes From the airport Taxi Aeropuerto Simon Bolivar is about 15 kilometers outside of Santa Marta, and there is no bus service to Minca. It is advisable to take a taxi. Taxi price: COP80'000* to  COP 100'000* approximate travel time: 50 minutes   Bolivar private transport** If you wish we can pick you up with our private "Bolivar - taxi" at the airport. The Casa Maracuya is located 300 metres after the bridge at the road to Pozo Azul and Campano on the left side. Thank you for your booking at Finca Hostal Bolivar. Please let us know your arrival time. Once arrived at our Finca you can call us from our telephone-reception (yellow building on the right side of the road) or you can text us a message trough our WIFI Network. We come down to the entrance of the Hostel to do the Check-In with you. WiFi: CASA MARACUYA / Password: gNARR2677 DIRECTIONS: Once arrived in Minca with the colectivo (public transport) or taxi walk in direction Pozo Azul. After 100m you will pass Restaurante Casa Antonio on the left side. Keep on going 200 Meters more on the concrete-road until you'll see a wooden door on your left side, that's our Hostel “Casa Maracuya”. Total walking distance from Minca 300m. ATTENTION: Minca doesn't have a cash machine (ATM) . It is therefore advisable to arrive with enough cash. Our reception hours are from 8am to 8pm! Please ask us upfront if you arrive later than 8pm. If you do not inquire for a late check-in, we consider your booking as NO SHOW after 10pm!
