A cozy house nestled in a wooded area of New Paltz. Secluded & sanitized 1400 sq ft with strong internet connection, two large decks, air conditioning in each room. A 40 min. walk, 15 min. bike ride via the rail trail, or a 3 min. drive ($6 cab) puts you at the heart of New Paltz. Most restaurants in our area are open with outdoor and indoor social distanced dining, carry out. Hike, bike, climb, kayak, rock scramble, swim in the area Then, BBQ & relax on the deck in the woods under the stars. 💫 The entire upper level of the house is for guests. This includes a private entrance, 3 bedrooms one with a queen bed and two with double beds, a spacious living room with vaulted ceilings, kitchen & dining areas, private bathroom. A great place for those who enjoy being outdoors as there are two large decks with views of the woods surrounding the house. Each deck has a table, umbrella and seating for 6. On the front deck is a gas BBQ grill and the back a gas fireplace-table. Laundry can be dropped off to be done in town. Or for stays longer that four nights, guests may use the shared laundry area. The laundry area is on the lower level of the house. Both upper level decks are exclusively for guest use. I live with my kitty-cat Bailey (who is a gentle soul) in a separate apartment in my home with a separate entrance. I am readily available to answer questions and assist you in any way possible. Having lived in New Paltz for 35 years, I have vast knowledge of the area’s offerings. Welcome to the Hudson Valley. I look forward to your visit! 2 miles from the New Paltz Village 2 blocks from the Rail Trail There is private parking on property guest parking for 3 cars. Located in New Paltz, two miles from the village center, you may walk, bike, drive or take a $6 cab ride into the village. There you can rent bikes or kayaks (for the Wallkill River) In the village, there is also a Trailways bus terminal where guests can ride (1.5 hours each way) into Manhattan for a day at Central Park, or to take in a museum or matinee on Broadway. From the house, Stewart Airport is 16 miles, the New York State Thruway is 3.5 miles, the Mohonk Preserve and the Mohonk Mountain House are just over 4 miles. I am fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and follow all CDC & AirBnB health recommendations/ requirements. The house has a water softener. So, use less soap than you usually do. I provide a Britta faucet filter & a Britta pitcher with a water filter in it.
