Welcome to our private countryside Herb Cottage!

The Herb Cottage is a spacious home with a living room, dining area, bedroom, bathroom, office, and kitchen. There is an outdoor grill, picnic table, and a front porch to enjoy sunsets with nearby gardens and no neighbors. Golf Courses, the MN Landscape Arboretum, Valley Fair, Mystic Lake Casino, local wineries, orchards, and shops are nearby. We are about 35 minutes from MSP Airport. The Herb Cottage is situated on a spacious area of land with trees, beautiful herb and flower gardens, a pond, and a hiking trail. The Big Room (living room) has a queen size sofa bed, dining room table that has a great view of the pond and gardens, bar area, coat rack, flat panel television with Sling tv, paramount, and Amazon Prime where you can watch local channels, news media, and movies. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen-sized bed, television, and a white noise machine. The kitchen is equipped with a KitchenAid convection double oven, gas cooktop in the island, Cuisinart, Keurig, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, tea, spices, popcorn machine, slow cookers, pots and pans, and so much more. It is well stocked kitchen! The office has a desk for laptop use, reading, or writing! Close the door for total privacy. In this room you will find an armoire with extra towels, bedding, and blankets. There are absolutely no neighbors and this makes it very private. At night enjoy hearing the frogs or seeing the lightening bugs (fireflies). Watch the stars and moon. Guests have access to the entire first floor of the cottage, basement craft room, gardens, and hiking trail. We live just two minutes away. If you need anything you can call and we are readily accessible. It's nice because there aren't any neighbors. Sunsets are beautiful and so are the surroundings. There is ample parking. Public transportion is 4 miles away at the Carver Bus Station. It goes to downtown Minneapolis and to nearby bus stops. The Herb Cottage is close to Chaska, Victoria, Jordan, Shakopee, and Waconia. NOTE: In 2021 and 2022 there will be road construction on Highway 212 which is where the Herb Cottage is located, between Cologne and Carver, 4 miles of highway. It is being expanded from a 2 lane to a 4 lane expressway. Construction will begin west of us and the new road, when finished, will be located approximately 600 feet north of the of the Herb Cottage. The old 212 will be a frontage road, approximately 1 mile, that will end in a cul-de-sac just past us. It will have minimal traffic, just neighbors. It will be nice because in this stretch there are only 6 residences on this 1 mile. If you have any questions please ask before booking. The Herb Cottage is open mid-April through October.
