Spacious, comfortable home with 3 bedrooms, remodeled kitchen, open floor plan. Perfect for families to visit historic sites by day and rest and relax by night. Easy access to train to Center City, close to PA Turnpike, and just a few miles from charming Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy neighborhoods. Residential neighborhood offers peaceful setting. Remodeled kitchen and open floor plan for socializing and resting in the evenings, and in nice weather, outdoor seating and fire pit in backyard is very peaceful. Home is beautifully decorated, with four comfortable brand new beds -- one queen, one full, and one twin daybed that has a second twin rollaway tucked underneath. Location is perfect -- use trains to go to Center City (25-minute ride), 5 minutes to PA Turnpike for day trips to Lancaster, Hershey, Valley Forge and other areas. Or stay local and enjoy Chestnut Hill and Mt Airy neighborhoods with plenty of shops and restaurant, and the Wissahickon for hikes and walks. Note: We love hosting families, but only those with older children. This isn't the best house for the six and under crowd. Guests have access to entire home, including back patio, internet wifi, Apple TV that includes Netflix, Hulu. Office in the back is off-limits, but is left open to provide access to backyard. If you are here, it means we are not -- as this is our home. But host is generally available via phone or text, and a contact list is provided if host is not available. Neighborhood is quiet, residential, safe, and friendly. There is a driveway, plus street parking. Train to Center City is 1.2 miles away. There is a city bus a few blocks away. House is close to two train lines of the Regional Rail Line of SEPTA that take you to Center City in 25 minutes. It is also relatively easy to take the train from Philly-NYC as well -- or, given the proximity to the PA Turnpike, you can get to the Trenton Train Station in just 25 minutes and get a train to NYC from there. The train will also bring you to the area from the airport -- they run every half hour. Or it's a 40 minute drive from the airport if you have a rental car. This listing is NOT a vacation rental. It is our home. So, it will feel homey. It will have quirks. Like any house, it is not perfect -- although we do our very best to handle issues that may come up immediately, which our reviews mention. It will be cleaned for you -- but it will still feel lived in. Because it is! So, if you are looking for more of a hotel experience, or a home that is only used for guests on vacation, and that doesn't contain any personal items, this is NOT the place for you. In many ways, we are the type of experience AirBnB was made for -- but as people have made full time businesses out of renting spaces, this has changed. And expectations have changed accordingly.
