Riverfront cabin

Our riverfront home surrounded by privacy. This is the ultimate river trip. The Cane River is steps away. Fish, swim, tube and relax. Mt Mitchell and the Blue Ridge Parkway only a few miles away. Asheville only 40 minutes away, Burnsville is an easy 5 minute drive. No pets, parties or smoking allowed in the house or on the property. Anyone violating this policy or having more people on the property than specified in the reservation will be asked to leave without a refund. This is a brand new home built in the winter of 2017. Our dream for years have been to have a private riverfront escape. Until we can afford to live up here full time we want to share this space with you. Our goal is to make this a beautiful comfortable getaway and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. There are 3 bedrooms each with a queen bed. The downstairs living room has a sofa bed and can be used as an additional bedroom when needed. There is another sofa bed(futon) in the loft area, which is great for extra guests but open to the sounds and lights of the kitchen and living room. There is a TV and a DVD player in the downstairs living room with a handful of movies. We do not have Cable. The TV has HDMI ports if you want to plug in your own device. The entire home and property is yours to enjoy including the river. There is a firepit by the river and plenty of area to fish, tube and swim. We live in nearby Asheville, NC and will be available if needed. We do have a caretaker who lives on the property to help with any situation which requires immediate attention. The home is located down a gravel road with only 5 other homes on it. All the neighbors enjoy their privacy and will respect yours as well. There is comfortable parking for 4 cars. Only 6 miles to Burnsville and an easy drive to Mount Mitchell, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Appalachian Trail, Penland School of Crafts, Mayland College, much more. New International Dark Sky Park with Public 34" telescope and observatory. Fish, raft, hike, just sit back and relax. Please treat our home as if it were your own. No pets, parties or smoking allowed in the house or on the property. The price shown is for 6 guests per night. Additional guests cost an additional $25 per person, per night. Only the amount of guests on the reservation may be on the property at any time. Anyone violating this policy will be asked to leave immediately and will forfeit all payments. Please note that the river changes dramatically at times. Heavy rains and flash flooding can make the water level high and quite dangerous. Several weeks of no rain and the water level may become quite low. Any and all river activities are at your own risk. There are a few different ways to get down to the river, all of which may require moderate physical ability and may not be appropriate for young children, the elderly or guests with other physical limitations. These access points are subject to change because of erosion, washouts or debris coming down stream. Rocks can be unstable, muddy or slippery. Always exercise caution, safety and common sense.
