Tentrr Signature Site - DARNIT BROOK at Piper Ranch

Summary: We welcome you to Darnit Brook on Piper Ranch, Buckfield, Maine. On our farm you will find an apple orchard, pastures lined with rock walls, woods, fields and the Darnit Brook, a winding brook running diagonally through the property. The Highland cattle, an old world breed, free range the acres of fields, woods and meadows. The tent and a surrounding area has a gate that you can leave open or closed. This is an ideal spot for deer and bird watching, sunsets and just relaxing. You will be 3 miles from the village of Buckfield, where you will find a small well-stocked grocer to pick up supplies. Noted hiking trails are nearby, or you can just hike Piper Ranch. The queen size bed is a memory foam, Cell phone reception, Fire wood, starters, lighter, kindling for the fire pit. Mr. Heater, a propane heater, with one 20 lb. tank included. Also, a tabletop BBQ 10" included with charcoal and lighter fluid. and local spring water. The Space: A private camping retreat on a Scottish Highland cattle farm in the beautiful foothills of Maine. Parking right at the tent, Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows Tentrr Extras: These are other additional amenities, services, or activities that may be provided by your CampKeeper for an additional fee. Please coordinate in advance if you'd like to add these to your booking. Availability of any Extras are not guaranteed and must be confirmed and paid for at least 24 hours prior to check-in. Replacement tank of propane - $20 20 lb. tank of propane. Other Things to Note: Please pick up the site and put the trash/recycle items into the supplied trash bins. We take care of the removal of trash, etc. Pets are allowed with supervision due to surrounding wildlife. Deer are a common site, but there are also skunks, raccoons and porcupine. Not a good mix with a dog, as we well know. Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
