QUIET, LUSH BUNGALOW CLOSE AIRPORT/SWIMMING POOL

Hey there! Thank you for your visit! The bungalow with pool in a big garden is situated in the urbanization “Los Guanacastes”, Pan de Azúcar, Concepción de Atenas, on 550 m above sea level near of the little town Atenas, 25 km away from the International Airport Juan Santamaria and 40 km from the capital city San José. This place is a gem! The panoramic view over the "Valle Central" and its mountains like Poás and Barva is amazing, spectacular in the morning hours when the birds begin to wake up. In just a rural area not far away from town Atenas which has one of the best climates in the world. The house includes with a kitchen (toaster oven, coffee maker, fridge), each of the bedroom has a bathroom with tiled showers. The bungalow has several windows that look out on beautiful lush greenery. The water comes from our own well and it is drinkable (we do tests every half year), warm water provides our solar system. There is wireless Internet but only at the terrasse of the main house. Our provider is not able to find a solution for this inconvenience in our area. The big gardens attraction is the spectacular tree canopy of a Guanacaste, the national tree of Costa Rica. The property is on 2000 m2 of lush beauty, fruit trees galore (help yourself when in season oranges, grape fruit, avocado (seasonally), coconuts, noni)...—beautiful!. We are in an awesome location just 30 minutes from the airport and only 6 km from Atenas with its restaurants and shops, 60 minutes to the different volcanoes and 40 minutes to the closer beaches like Herradura and Punta Leona. We have caterers available in needed. And we do recycling here! The elevation is about 400 m We are about 5 degrees cooler than on the the ocean side. You will definitely want a rental car....there is a bus stop, but the access to the bigger buses in Atenas is extremly long. Or you take a taxi which costs around 3000 colones to Atenas. Bikes or walks are a little hazardous as these are hilly, windy, narrow roads. Please keep in mind that this is a tropical environment and it is nearly impossible to keep all insects out of any accommodation in Costa Rica unless we poison the place. If you are phobic of insects, the jungle will not be your best bet. Gecko lizards are also common inside the houses here. For this we have an amazing amount of birds in our trees! You will not be only our guests, for us you are also friends, having the same aim: enjoying this beautiful country wilth the incredible flora and fauna and the very friendly ticos, the way the costa rican call themselves. We will not be always around, but if you have questions don´t worry to conact us when ever you need us. Also Pablo, the gardner, and Maribel, the cleaning made, will be there for you if needed.
