Strawberry Lane Getaway is a charming, older home, blocks from downtown Buckhannon, WV, and is walking distance to many restaurants and shops in town. It is a half mile to West Virginia Wesleyan College, and the Riverwalk. It is a 20-25 minute drive to Weston, WV, via 33W and a 25-30 minute drive to Elkins, WV via 33E. It is 1 1/2 hour drive to Canaan Valley, WV and a 30 minute drive to Stonewall Resort. There is a small backyard, and a small stone porch for you to enjoy. There are houses on both sides of the house, so we ask that you be respectful of your neighbors. Our house and premise is smoke free. My husband and I live next door and will be there when you check in. We will respect your privacy but will be available if you need assistance with anything. If you need anything during your stay, feel free to message us through the Airbnb app or via our cell phone number that's provided. Both Randy and I can help. The annual WV Strawberry Festival is held every year, in May, and the parades go right down the street in front of the house. The week of the festival is a great time for family filled with 4 parades, a carnival, crafts, antique cars, bands and lots and lots of food! In the summer, on Fridays, our town has a "Festival Friday" at Jawbone Park in town. The park is within walking distance and you will find great music, food, crafts and a good old fashion time of visiting with friends and family. There is enough parking for 2 vehicles.
