The gated entry leads guests into a private yard featuring manicured landscaping, lush green grass, and vibrant gardens. The home's hardwood terrace is decorated with colorful hammocks & is an ideal spot for relaxing Casa Esperanto is a fabulous vacation rental in the tiny town of Las Tunas. Las Tunas belongs to the Puerto Lopez city as a rural town located 15 min by bus from Puerto Lopez . The large sunny rooms are very comfortable. The upstairs balcony is the perfect place to view birds and iguanas in the nearby trees and the crashing surf about a block away. You can observe village life as kids go to school and their parents go to work. Neighborhood dogs, roosters, and a piglet are part of the scene. The house is a great place to stay while walking on the beach, surfing, or visiting the fishing town of Puerto López and Los Frailes Beach to the north. If you want a peaceful vacation home, this is the place for you.” Inside the house, the entranceway flows into a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, full amenities, ample cupboard space, and a large dining table. The perfect place for preparing meals with fresh local produce & sharing stories about the day's adventures with your family and friends! Casa Esperanto boasts a chill "beach life" vibe characterized by the colorful hand-painted art featured throughout the house. The stunning mosaic spiral staircase leads up to the second floor where you'll find the two (2) guest rooms and a private bathroom which are non-ensuite ( one bathroom on each floor ) A washing machine is also located on the second floor for convenient access. The spacious guest rooms are 4 mtx x 4 mts . Each room is furnished with two (2) bunk beds and provides flexible sleeping options for guests. West-facing windows bring in ample sunlight during the day & provide gorgeous views of the sunset in the afternoon. Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan and an AC for temperature control. (sometimes the AC could not working properly due to the salty environment) , but from May to middle of December the 98% of our guest do not use AC or Fan due the temperature are really fresh at the night and the day, the House has high ceiling so keep the very good temperature inside The second-floor balcony presents views of the Pacific Ocean & endless moments from the cozy hammocks hung along the hardwood terrace. This is a perfect place to drink a cup of coffee and check out the morning waves or enjoy a glass of wine A sloping hill behind the house offers guests a peaceful & private spot, perfect for meditating, enjoying the vistas overlooking Las Tunas beach, or sharing a romantic moment with a special someone while watching the sun disappear into the horizon. There is truly something for everyone at Casa Esperanto! important note: As we explained the house is 45 mts approx. from the beach ( a block away or second line ) it is not a FRONT BEACH HOUSE, if you are looking for a complete ocean view with nothing else than just the ocean, you would need a front beach house then, refers the pictures, that show the ocean view from our balcony =) the house has in the backyard a small slope, that is 7 meters high and offers an amazing complete ocean view, highly recommended =) Guests will have access to the full kitchen and dining area. Plates, silverware, pots, and pans are available to prepare meals at home. As local drinking water is not suitable for consumption, filtered water can be purchased at one of the local neighborhood shops. A water dispenser is also available in the house for use with the larger 5-gallon bottle of filtered water. ( please notice you will have to buy your own filtered water, we only provide the container, we could tell you where to buy them ) . This is the most economical way to purchase water (versus individual liter bottles) There are two bathrooms in the house, one located on each floor, and are shared among the guests staying at the house. Please be respectful of privacy & cleaning up after yourself. ( because the covid we RENT THE WHOLE HOUSE only for ONE GROUP, The house won´t be shared with someone else ). A washing machine is also available in the second story bathroom for guests to use. You will need to provide your own laundry soap. As there is no dryer, guests will need to hang the clothing to air dry. Guests have access to the second-floor balcony, as well as to the hammocks, and are welcomed to enjoy the views anytime! The private gated yard features an outdoor shower, situated beneath a coconut tree, for rinsing off after a visit to the beach or surfing the waves. During peak season, when coconuts are mature for picking, guests are welcome to enjoy the local fruit from the palm trees if they wish! There is nothing more refreshing than delicious coconut water to replenish after a day of surfing! Off-street parking is also available to guests in the private garage (accommodates 1 car) or in the private driveway on the property. Street parking also is perfectly safe in this quiet neighborhood so there are plenty of secure parking options if there are multiple cars with a group. Wifi internet is available throughout the house for guests to use. , Lately, from 2017 we have the whole year internet services, as we said, it will depend due the demand the wifi signal may vary inside the house, especially in one of the rooms, also depends on the mobile devices some of them are easier to connect to our wifi As the host spends 6 months in Ecuador and 6 months in Sweden, he is available year-round 7 days per week via email to answer questions and address concerns. ( May - November) the time zone between Ecuador and Sweden is 7 hours During the peak season (December - May) the host resides in Ecuador and will be available to assist guests more personally (via phone or in-person as needed) to provide advice about local activities & tours, travel plans, and getting from point A to B, and helping plan special events (as needed). when I am in Sweden I also have contact with my guest by text messages with great results. The town of Las Tunas is generally tranquil and the neighborhood is quiet most of the time . Locals are very friendly and welcoming of foreigners visiting their town. Most locals do not speak English so if you don't speak Spanish, a smile goes a long way in establishing good rapport! keep in mind you will be in a realy small beach town, with all that implies, as we mentioned our friendly local neighbors are relaxed go to sleep early and wake up early From Las Tunas, guests can commute to local towns via the public bus (the Green ManglarAlto bus) from the main highway. The bus will pick people up anywhere along the road, all you need to do is signal them by waving your hand as they approach. Bus fare ranges depending on your destination but a one way trip will cost anywhere from $0.75 to $3. Local shared taxis are also available from the main highway and are quicker than the bus. Taxis run from Las Tunas to Puerto Lopez and cost $1 per person. Private taxi's can be called to bring you to local destinations as well. These cost a bit more money but can be worth it for the time savings! It is recommended to negotiate and confirm the final fare price before departure. Casa Esperanto is located 4 hours from Guayquil. The infrastructure is good, providing reliable roads from the city to the coast. You can get to Las Tunas via car, bus or private taxi. **Specific arrival directions will be provided to guests upon confirmation of their reservations. We can also help recommend the best form of transportation for your trip to ensure you have a stress-free commute to Las Tunas. (8) Towels provided are not beach towels please keep them inside the house and please do not use them as a mop on the floor, the house has it mop for the floor especially to dry the bathroom floor, We provide 1 towel for guest (9) Maybe you will meet Perrini our lovely old stray dog, he has met several groups of guests, families, and all ages from all over the world with zero problems or incidents. he is not so extrovertive in the beginning, but he loves the kids, prior experience has shown that if the guest shows interest to over him he will answer back the as good company and especially to the kids who love him, we can not manage about keep him away from the house if you don´t like the dogs, Perrini is so independent and sometimes he could be away from the house or sometimes he could be laid back in the deck in his mat, he never will try to be inside the house, and he will keep his distance if you don´t show interest about him. He is part of our family =) and really takes care of the people who stay in the house =). If you don´t like dogs please consider all these facts.
