Experience the gorgeous sunrise over Stillhouse lake each morning on our huge deck high upon a cliff overlooking Stillhouse Lake. Just a mile away is the Stillhouse Park. Rent a boat or plan a day of fishing. You can fish in the indoor fishing barge or along the shore. Lunch and swim or picnic at the beach or eat at the marina or take a hike at Chalk Ridge Falls Park. Within a short drive, the Village of Salado offers golf, art galleries and shopping, among other pastimes. Clean, newly renovated, secluded, romantic getaway far from the hustle and bustle of the freeway but close to the Expo Center, Scott & White Hospital, shopping in historic Salado, minutes from fishing and hiking along Stillhouse Lake, and 20 minutes to Fort Hood, Killeen, Lake Belton, Historic Belton, and Harker Heights. All areas are accessible to guests. Walker and cane provided. Available by phone only but relatives live on the street to help with any issue that may come up Nice, quite neighborhood away from it all. Dead end street at top of cliff overlooking the Corps of Engineers park & lake with marina. Pavilion, beach, day camping, swimming and picnic area. Marina offers a 24 hour indoor/outdoor fishing barge ($4) great food, boat slips, boat ramp, dive gear rentals and boat rentals. Great neighbors surround the home, most ex military and retired. They keep an eye on the house so you will be secure. Must have vehicle. No public transportation. Driveway holds 2 vehicles and street parking is free and available in front of home only. NO COMMERCIAL vehicles, trailers or campers. There is a fishing barge at the marina that is open 24 hours that offers indoor or outdoor fishing for $4 per person. We have fishing tackle and rods and reels available for rent by the day.
