Ocean Star Retreat and our Waterfront home is located on Craigdarroch beach with spectacular views of Tree Island. Steps to the beach to launch your kayak and paddle boards, there is marine wildlife and birds for your viewing pleasure. The suite offers private entrance, sunroom and deck, with a beautiful spacious bed and bathroom. Stay with us to relax and unwind and enjoy the privacy. We are close to great restaurants, shops, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, golf courses and spas. We welcome you to stay at the Ocean Star Retreat. We aim to do our best to make your stay at our home and the community of the Comox Valley an enjoyable experience. Having the ocean just steps away, with the spectacular views we are sure you will be pleasantly relaxed. You can paddle to Tree Island or simply sit and relax and watch the tides go in and out, or go for a swim, don't forget your water shoes, bring your kayaks or SUP's for your enjoyment. The Ocean Star Retreat Suite offers you a private entrance with a large master bedroom, private bath, relaxing sunroom and private deck. The home is facing East to Bayne Sound with views of Sandy Island (or known as Tree Island to the locals), Denman and Hornby Island, and further to the East is the Salish Sea, with the Coastal mountains in the background. Breath taking! We understand that your time away is precious and we want to make your stay comfortable with giving you the privacy that is appreciated by many. With the quite atmosphere of your suite you will enjoy the comfort of a king size bed, with a view of the ocean from your pillow. Owners live on site in the house that offers the Ocean Star Retreat suite. ***** Rudi is our resident pet, we prefer not to have other pets on the premises. Our home is best suited for adult guests as we do not provide cots nor bassinets, cribs... We are 10 minutes south of Courtenay in a family friendly neighbourhood. There are many sites to see in the Comox Valley which is known to have one of the best ski resorts on the Vancouver Island, “Mount Washington” the place to ski in the winter, hike, mountain bike and zip line in the Summer. It is a very short drive from our B&B. We also have great mountain biking and hiking just across Hwy 19A 2 minutes away. The Comox Valley hosts many festivals, there is always something to enjoy. Must have vehicle or bicycle to get around. * Ten minutes by vehicle to City of Courtenay (Museums, shops, restaurants, pubs and the Sid Theatre, Saturday Market) * 25 minutes to YQQ Comox Airport * 30 minutes to Comox ( Harbour, Glacier views, golf courses, restaurants, pubs and shops) * 15 minutes to Town of Cumberland (World famous Mountain Biking, Coal Mine Museum, Brew pubs, Restaurants, Shops and Comox Lake). Union Bay is a 3 minute drive south. The community has a rich history that is intertwined with that of Cumberland, which is mining. Boat launch, coffee shop market cafe. Gaolhouse museum and Post office.
