Our monthly rate is $2800.00. The Owners will pay up to $200 monthly for each the gas and electric costs. $200 per month for each of these utilities is sufficient under normal conscientious use. Tenant is responsible for all costs over the $200.00 cap and will be billed accordingly in the monthly rental invoice. Pets welcome but must be approved by owner, $50 non refundable pet fee per pet. This listing consists of the rental of our 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath main house which has 4-5 beds depending on configuration. Dogs less than 50lbs and cats are welcome with prior approval of the owner. There is a $100 non refundable pet fee per pet (owner reserves the right to refuse pets) There is a LIMIT OF 2 PETS. This rental comes with all the comforts of home. It is fully furnished, has a large fully equipped kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar. Rental includes all the bed and bath linens, and other amenities such as hair dryer, iron, ironing board, washer and dryer, free cable and highspeed internet WIFI. Our home can sleep 4 to 8 people comfortably in three bedrooms. There are 5 TVs all with Cable. One in the living room , one in the finished basement with a DVD/VCR player and one in each of the bedrooms. There is a selection of classic movies to watch and books to read. We have a selection of family games to pass the time and a great space in the finished basement for all to gather. The home has one full bath with a tub/shower. The master bedroom has a 1/2 bath and a king bed, bedroom two has 2 full size beds, bedroom three has two twin beds convertible to a king, The MAIN HOUSE DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. An AC unit is in the Master bedroom to be used when room is occupied. You are in Maine chances are you won't need AC except for a couple weeks. The home remains relatively cool and we do provide fans which will provide air flow. Our large finished basement space has a lounging TV space, a bar/entertainment area and open space to work out. There are some light hand weights (3-5lbs) exercise mat and a DVD player with a library of workout videos. There are walking trails close by if you want to get outside and walk. There is a Planet Fitness less than a 1/2 mile down the road. Getting to the Bangor Region is easy! Located right off of Interstate 95, the city boasts an airport that takes the hassle out of getting to and from your flight. Bangor International Airport (BGR) is conveniently located near the center of Bangor and is just across the street from a bus station (Concord Coach Lines) connecting to northern and southern Maine, and Boston, and other points across the country. Our property is centrally located within 3 miles of three major hospitals -Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, St Joseph’s Hospital and Acadia Hospital. Husson University, NESCom, University of Maine Augusta (Bangor Campus), Eastern Maine Community College, Beal College are all within 5 miles or less and the University of Maine at Orono is only 10 miles/20 minutes away. We are close to restaurants, shopping and tourist areas. There is easy access to the I-95 Interstate system only half a mile down the street. Bangor International Airport (BGR) is only 3 miles or an easy 10 min drive. Cross Insurance Center, Darlings Waterfront Concerts, The Penobscot Theater, the Bangor waterfront Hollywood Casino and Downtown Bangor are 5 miles or an easy 10 min drive. The Collins Center for the Arts is a short 20 min/10 mile drive north up the interstate. Make a right turn out of our dead end street and head east 1.5 hours to reach Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain as well as the quaint villages of Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor and many other coastal destinations. Turn left off our dead-end street and head west and within 40 minutes you will find yourself in the Maine Highlands where you will find some breathtaking hikes. Continue west into the highlands another hour and you will find yourself in the beautiful town of Greenville and the Moosehead Lake Region. A short 1.5 hour drive north on I-95 in the highlands will get you to Baxter State Park and Mt Katahdin (the terminus of the Appalachian Trail). Heading South on Route 1 will take you to the Mid Coast Region where you can find Searsport/Belfast (1 hour). Lincolnville, Northport and Rockport (1.5 hours) Camden and Rockland and Thomaston (2 hours). Take I-95 South 1.45 hours and you will find yourself in Freeport home of LL Bean and all the big-name outlet stores. We include 4 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom plus another 4 of back up, 2 rolls of paper towels to get you started and other paper necessities such as tin foil, plastic wrap and plastic bags are available while they last. Guests have access to the entire home including our finished basement area. We strictly enforce the NO PARTIES RULE. The Only restricted areas are the Clearly marked Owners closet and Owners Storage areas. We live in the area and will be available to our guest as needed. During the booking process we will answer any questions they might have about the home or the area and if requested we will meet with them upon arrival to give them a tour of the home so they are familiar with everything and comfortable in their surroundings. The home is located on the corner of a dead end street and a major corridor. There is very little traffic on the dead end street but the major corridor does have heavy traffic certain times of the day. We do have a small yard where children can play, but there is no play equipment i.e swing set etc. There are restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store within a half a mile. There are large parks and playgrounds within 2 miles. Uber and taxis, are readily available. A city bus system runs Monday - Saturday 6am to 6pm with pick up points within a 1/2 mile. Car rental if traveling by plane is suggested. This home is not handicap accessible. There are stairs that go to the bedrooms and bathroom and the basement. Bathroom doors are narrow.
