The pleasures and comforts of a country house await you at this farmhouse just ten miles from Vermont's capital city, Montpelier. Enjoy the beautiful views, easy access to hiking, the large, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable accommodations. Shared bathroom, kitchen and laundry. I now have two cats and a half dozen free-range chickens. To help stave off trouble, I ask that all guests be vaccinated before coming to stay here, and have had a negative covid test prior to arrival. This is a spacious, rustic owner-built, artist-built country home. While we offer all the basic amenities, they come with a unique presentation. Guests have access to the large country kitchen. Bathroom is shared. There are full laundry facilities. Wi-fi signal is good. There is a phone landline. Cell service for Verizon phones is good, though we don't get AT&T reception. This is a family home, and we welcome you as our guest. You are entitled to your privacy. We will tailor interactions to suit your needs and our own. Usually a family member will be in the house during your stay. If you would like to bring your dog, please okay this with me when you make your booking. We ask that guests be vaccinated for covid and have a negative covid test prior to arrival. This helps stave off potential trouble and inconvenience. Thanks. A perfect spot for nighttime star-gazing. We live on a dirt road at the foot of the Worcester Range. There are no street lights and our neighbors live far enough away so you can see the night sky in all its beauty. Close to walking and hiking trails, and to swimming in the summer and cross country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. For some, our location is a bit of an adventure to find, but if you carefully follow the directions provided, you should have no trouble finding the spot. We're 10 miles from Montpelier, the Vermont state capital. Montpelier offers bus transportation to the city of Burlington and the Burlington airport, but locally, you'll need to have a car. The house offers plenty of parking. Please let me know when you book the room whether you would like to bring your dog or other pet. There is a pet surcharge of $5 per animal per day.
