Nestled on a quiet, side street just a two-minute walk to Kinderhook's beautiful Village Square, the cottage is situated in a garden setting next to the property's early 19th-century main house. With a bedroom sleeping two in a queen-size bed and a twin daybed for one in the open-space living room with French doors, the house sleeps 3 comfortably. An eat-in kitchen with electric cooktop, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven offers the possibility for guests to prepare their own meals from freshly picked ingredients from local farms. With so many places to discover within a short driving distance in Columbia County, a car is recommended. Visitors will find sheep and cow farms, breweries, cideries, wine makers, distilleries, cheese makers, performance spaces, art spaces, and a sculpture park -- all within a 30-minute drive. The twin-size daybed in the cottage's living room doubles as a place to relax but also as a bed for a third guest or for one of two guests who may not want to share the bedroom accommodation. The living room daybed is not normally fitted with bedding unless required for guests' stay. We ask that guests let us know prior to arrival if they require the daybed to be ready as a sleeping location during their stay. Letting us know prior to arrival gives us time to put full bedding on the daybed.
