The Heron Hangout is a newly renovated home with an astonishing view of the Willapa Bay. The 2466 sq. ft. house sits on 4 plus acres, secluded from neighbors for a peaceful getaway. The Willapa Bay has an abundance of wildlife; it is common to see Blue Heron, ducks, geese, eagles and deer. Boats and dredges used in the oyster and steamer clam industry go past as the tide goes in and out. Venturing out and exploring all that the Long Beach Peninsula has to offer is just a short drive away. Your accommodations are clean and cozy. Begin your morning by strolling along the bayside path or sipping a cup of coffee while watching the sun rise over Long Island. As the day progresses, stick around to enjoy the large lawns for fun and games, as well as the fire pit and horseshoe area. Relaxing on the deck while reading your favorite book and taking in the tranquility of the fountain is another way to enjoy the space. I, Jeri am excited to meet and greet you with your keys. Your privacy is important to us, but if you should need anything we are just a phone call away. My husband Rex and I are anxious to share this unique location with you. During clam season my husband and I will provide techniques for cleaning and cooking clams upon request. Heron Hangout is located on Sandridge Road. Long Beach is only a 10 miles (15 minutes) drive for endless choices of activities. Visit Long Beach Peninsula Visitor Bureau for a current list. The beach is just 1.5 miles away in Ocean Park. In Ocean Park you can also get groceries at Okies Thriftway and the famous Jack's Country Store. Historical Oysterville is 5.4 miles where you can purchase fresh seafood from Oysterville Seafarms. The Port of Ilwaco (12 miles) has a Saturday Market May through September and fishing trips you can schedule.
