Victorian Room at the Glens Falls Inn

The Victorian Room is our 1st floor and fully handicap accessible guest room. A ramp to the front door and wide doorways for guests using a wheelchair! No TV in room but there is one in the main livingroom. The inn is a short walk to town. Exterior is getting a face lift. We can't wait to polish it up and bring back its natural beauty it so deserves. Exquisite interior with all its original wood work, high ceilings and pocket doors. This wonderful home carries a great welcome home feel to it. Large spacious rooms for gathering. A total of 6 guest rooms plus a third floor innkeepers quarters. It is a full one bedroom apartment with kitchen, full bath, laundry and gas fireplace. This Inn is a remarkable structure with details of original moldings, hardwood floors, pocket doors and various other nuances of its time. It has been brought up to date with all the amenities of todays modern world but carries an incredible timeless old world charm of historical appeal. We provide a handicap accessible ramp to front door. First floor Victorian Room is designed handicap accessible. Only when booking the entire Inn will there be allowed use of the kitchen and laundry facilities. If the booking is for a single guest room .... all guests will have access and full welcome use of the sitting parlor, living room, dining room and wrap around front porch. Livingroom, dining room and parlor are common areas that are comfortable and spacious and open for your use and comfort. I always make it a point to meet you as you arrive. I want you to feel at home at the Inn. I can give some direction on your stay, where to find things, fill you in on some activities, restaurants and shows in the area. However, if for one reason or another I am not there when you arrive, please text or call me on my cell phone which will be posted inside the vestibule. My intention is to give you your own space and be available only as you choose. If you are booking the entire house with all rooms I leave you to your privacy but always available by phone. I am usually nearby. Your stay at the Glens Falls Inn will put you only a 5 minute walk to downtown Glens Falls. It is literally two blocks from everything downtown has to offer. Shows, restaurants, quaint shops, civic center and churches. There is a great deal of history in the area and many quaint places to visit. West Mountain is a quick 8 minute drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months. Lake George and Saratoga Springs is a quick easy 20 minute drive in either direction. Lakes, mountain, rivers, museums and many more intriguing attractions. Public transportation is only a few walking block away. Trailways bus station and numerous taxi and uber options as well. There is also the Lake George Trolley that runs from Glens Falls To Lake George several time a day. Albany airport is about a 45 minute drive on the the Adirondack Northway (I-87) we are just off Exit 18. There is a 3rd floor apartment offers one bedroom, kitchen, full bath, laundry and private separate entrance. It is known as the 'Top of the Inn" or Innkeepers Quarters. This is designed for the business traveler or those who need a space for more than a few nights. This space is ideal for extended stays, temporary residence, trainees and interim situations . Walking distance to many businesses including the Glens Falls Hospital, Theatres, Travelers, Cool Insurance Arena and a number of various event and work places.
