Quaint 2br apt- walk to Wesleyan and Main Street
Nicely appointed 1st floor 2 BR apt, 1 block from Wesleyan and 3 blocks from food/fun on Main St. 1 full & 2 twin beds, linens, laundry, dishwasher, tv (roku with internet tv), dvd player, radio w/ bluetooth, wifi, parking, front porch seating, 24/7 access, close to Rt 9, I-91, Rt 84, Hartford and 25 minute drive to beaches/shoreline/I-95. Residential house with a small backyard, just a few steps from all that downtown has to offer as well as the Wesleyan campus. Newly renovated interior space with dining room, living room, full kitchen, breakfast nook/workstation area, front & back bedroom, full bathroom and access to shared laundry. There is front porch seating and a small seating area in the back yard (seasonally). Although the apartment does have air conditioning, there is a pretty consistent breeze, so in the summertime I encourage you to open the windows and enjoy the day (or night). Full solo access to the entire first floor apartment which has a dedicated guest parking spot in the back, between my garage and last of the large pine trees. There is also non-metered street parking if you'd prefer (street parking is a bit harder to obtain when the students are in session). I live in the upstairs second floor apartment and can be available to answer questions & share some information about the area or leave you to enjoy your privacy. If you do need to contact me for any reason, you can text me or (if I'm home) use the old style twist door bell on my apartment front door. Seasonal local activities include: apple picking and golf at Lyman Orchards, PGA level golf at the TPC River Highlands (PGA Travelers tour stop), Skiing/Snowboarding & summer festivals at Powder Ridge Mountain Park, easy walking distance to all Wesleyan events, just a few blocks from Middlesex Hospital for visitation/employment stays, in town movie theater and great restaurants all within easy walking distance, close proximity to the CT river, Wadsworth Atheneum museum and the XL Civic Center in Hartford are just 18 miles away, and a very short drive to the beach and shorelines of Old Saybrook as well as anything New Haven/Yale related. Middletown is also a convenient midpoint between New York City (the commuter rail is in New Haven) and Boston. Most guests drive and use the dedicated parking spot behind the house which has a sign attached to the garage as an indicator, but the best part is you don’t need to use your car to visit Wesleyan University or get nearly anything the town has to offer as the location is very walkable. There are also taxis, uber, lyft and a local bus system. As I do live upstairs, and we have neighbors, please be considerate and keep things relatively quiet after 11pm. The Wesleyan University 'Low Rise' student housing is directly across the street, so there is no-one around in the summertime (it's very vacant looking at that time) and during the school year it has more student activity. Inside the apartment it is a non-smoking space, but smokers can use the front porch seating area if needed (provided the front windows are closed): an ashtray is provided out on the front porch and there are outdoor chairs available which can be left outside if you choose to use the front porch during your stay. If you do use the ashtray, please clean it upon your heading home.
