This unique cottage farmhouse sits on 7 private acres surrounded by trees, fields and beaches. Relax in the quiet country atmosphere and enjoy the incredible ocean views or go for a nature hike, bike ride, beach walk or swim in the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. The small private beach in front of the property is perfect for canoeing and has views and access to Munroe's Island, a nature reserve. Caribou-Munroe's Island Provincial park is just a 5 minute walk and offers a picnic park and a large sandy public beach. This space is the perfect combination of country getaway and beach paradise. 81 Simpson Road sits on 7 private acres with plenty of natural public space that surrounds including 2 beaches and a large picnic park and a nature reserve island. Our private property is marked by a mowed lawn plus the large field towards water (see map in photos). Guests can access the small private beach in front of the property via our field path along the trees. The large sandy public beach is a mere 500m away and can be accessed via the public path through Caribou Provincial Park. Caribou beach connects to Munroe’s Island and offers miles of hiking, beaching and exploring. This cottage farmhouse is conveniently located a 2 minute drive from both the Northumberland Ferries Caribou Wharf and also Pictou Lodge Beach Resort and restaurant. The historic town of Pictou is just an 8 minute drive away and has all of your shopping and restaurant needs. (see maps in photos) Due to current Government of Nova Scotia health and safety restrictions in relation to outside travel to the province, only reservations from those currently residing in the "Atlantic Bubble" (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland) will be approved until further notice.
