Our modern style home was made from two recycled shipping containers and has been designed to maximize both privacy and relaxation. In the afternoons, the sun sets over Cerro Turrubares, painting the skies with beautiful shades of reds and oranges that you can enjoy from the terrace or the deck while enjoying a nice cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or in the pool. Being away from the light pollution from cities, you will witness beautiful star-filled nights and the occasional shooting star. You can enjoy a private house with a pool, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an additional outdoor bathroom. The house has a deck where you will witness the beautiful sunsets and nights. In addition, it has a full kitchen with all the comforts, a living room with a sofa bed, TV and internet, garage and laundry area. You will be able to enjoy beautiful sunrises daily, surrounded by the many colorful songbirds that visit the property. If you like birdwatching, you will be able to observe a great variety from the porch, including red and green macaws, toucans, woodpeckers, thrushes (locally called yiguirros), marhsbirds (pecho amarillos), and many more. The house is located in a peaceful rural area and is a short (15 minutes) drive from Orotina, a town where you can find all types of services, including restaurants, banks, pharmacies, shops, supermarkets, and all necessary amenities. If you want to enjoy the beautiful Costa Rican beaches, the Central Pacific beaches such as El Peñón del Guacalillo are less than 1-hour drive away. In just a few more minutes you can also reach the popular tourist area of Jacó beach, and have access to many touristic activities, including canopy tours, horseback riding, or ATV rentals. If you feel like vising the city, we are just 50 minutes from the exclusive Escazú suburb of San Jose, where you will find some of the best shopping centers, cinemas, restaurants, and entertainment options the country has to offer. The Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) is a similar distance. We recommend you rent a vehicle so that you can move freely between destinations. At Nomada's Place, we follow Covid-19 prevention protocols, to ensure a safe and pleasant stay. We hope you enjoy it! As it is in a rural area, quietness during the night is required. Public transport is very limited in the area, so we recommend renting a car or traveling in your own vehicle; this will allow you to move freely in the area and visit tourist places of interest, such as the beaches of the Central Pacific or adventure activities (Canopy, ATV, horseback ridings and waterfalls). If you do not have a vehicle You can also let us know and we can drive you from the airport to the house for an arranged fee. A maintenance control of the pool will be carried out. This is done once a week and prior to coordination with the guest. (Stays more than a week) The pool has a single depth measurement of 1.15mts (3.77 feet) and is not perimeter or fenced; We ask you to take all the necessary security measures.
