Bohemian Townhouse in the Historic Centre

A simple yet thoughtfully decorated townhouse with a big terrace overlooking the Historic Centre. Tucked atop the coolest antique/thrift shop in town. Seconds away from some excellent cafés, restaurants, galleries, and the local grocery store. Located right on the main street of Santo Antônio Além do Carmo (the prettiest, least touristy neighbourhood in the Historic Centre if my biased opinion is anything to go by), this quirky townhouse is the perfect place for solo or couple travelers to explore the Old Town on foot. It is less than a minute walk from Pelourinho and its endless rows of souvenir shops, but honestly I don't think you'll want to leave Santo Antônio once you get to know its art galleries, cafés and tight-knit community with characters that will leave you wanting to write a book about them. The studio has a disproportionately big terrace where you can lay at night and fall asleep under the starry skies. Not too shabby. Santo Antônio Além do Carmo is a low-density, low-traffic, pedestrian-oriented community with free parking everywhere. Santo Antônio Além do Carmo is a historical, cobblestoned, pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood where everyone knows each other. Because of its close proximity to Pelourinho, not a lot of visitors actually bother coming up here, and that is precisely what keeps this gem of a community unharmed from predatory tourism. Here you can walk freely without being bothered and save your retinas from the eyesore of Pelourinho's endless rows of souvenir shops.
