Peace of Dirt Ranch
Come stay with Rose and Danny as we restore the barn on the Historic Kimball Dairy Farm built in 1850.. You will sleep in a loft with exposed hand hewn beams and look out over woodlands and meadow. You can lounge on the patio which was once an old grain silo, sit around the fire dish, listen to the fountain in the koi pond, or chill on the covered deck and enjoy the complimentary cannabis. Please feel free to ask if we can accommodate an early check in or late check out free of charge There's an apartment size fridge, induction cooktop, convection oven with all the cooking utensils and kitchen essentials you will need to prepare a meal. Two flat screen TVs with Netflix, Prime, and Hulu. WiFi and Alexa upstairs and down. Complimentary cannabis. Yes, you read it right! We have hammocks to hang off the giant hemlocks and a bench at the top of our meadow that overlooks the valley. There are places to hike, ride , drink, hang out or party in the area. We are outdoor enthusiasts and can direct you to some of our many local trails. You can easily access the VAST Trail from our property. Rainy day? No problem ! The State House, Vermont History Museum, Ben and Jerry's, Bread and Puppet, The Lost Nation Theater, The Vermont Antique Trail, The Prohibition Pig, Three Penny Taproom, and more breweries than you can shake a growler at are wicked close by. This is going to be fun! You have access to the barn, covered porch, patio and fire pit and all the walking trails on the property Please text us with any questions. Weekends we are usually around all day and weekday evenings also. We love to socialize but really want to give you space too. We are 10 minutes from Barre and 20 minutes form Montpelier. If you are arriving later than 7pm in the evening and haven’t eaten, it’s best to stop prior to arriving and either eat in a local restaurant or buy food to prepare here. The streets generally roll up around then and we have no food delivery in Orange. We want to make sure that our guests realize that this is a well insulated barn with a gas stove(but it is still a 170 y/o barn and it will always be so), we have made every effort to retain its character while at the same time, ensuring a comfortable stay for our guests. We advise parents of small children to consider that the gas stove is in the living room and may present a hazard to tiny hands. If you are sensitive to New England weather, please contact us prior to making reservations so we can discuss your needs. We would prefer to answer any and all questions prior to booking so that you are as happy with your stay as possible.j
