Creekside Cottage

Want to take your time on departure day? Just let us know and you can enjoy a late checkout. Come for hiking, skiing, bird watching or a cozy weekend with your loved one. You'll be in the Catskills in an historic one-bedroom cottage (circa mid-1800s) on the stream in Palenville N.Y. Have your morning coffee on the deck as you listen to the birds before heading down the path to the Kaaterskill creek, right in your backyard. The cottage has a large bedroom with a queen size bed, a sofa bed for children or a third guest, a quaint living room and a spacious country kitchen that opens to a large wrap around deck. All rooms are light filled and bright. The entire cottage and deck area are yours for the stay. The campfire level and stream access may be shared with other guests. The cottage is outfitted with all the basics you will need, including kitchen equipment, cooking staples, books, games and linens. You will have complete privacy during your visit although we will be on hand via email, text, or phone if you need anything. Palenville is considered America's first art colony and is enjoying a renaissance as a vacation destination. "Creekside" is easy walking distance to the Circle W, an upscale general store and deli, as well as the public library and the best local swimming holes. Local dining is available at the Rip Van Winkle Country Club (open to the public) and the Fernwood Restaurant. Saugerties, Woodstock, Hunter, Hudson, and Catskill are each about 20 - 25 minutes away. Palenville is accessible via Trailways from NYC and the center of the hamlet is within walking distance. It has a deli, gas station, library, and post office. We do not offerT.V. There are bicycles available for your use. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom; in addition, there is a fold out couch available in the living area. The property has a travel trailer with private entrance and may be used by another guest during your stay. The trailer is fenced off and behind the garage. The stream, fire ring, and camp are in a common area and you have full use of it. The cottage and all its amenities are completely yours during your stay.
