Use your private entrance to a lovely studio apartment attached to a 200 year old captain's house in the picturesque village of Canning, NS. Sunny, bright space with a private bathroom, queen bed, and single in the loft, kitchen access and incredible locale. We have 2 dogs, which means it is not suitable for someone with allergies or with pets. We are family-friendly, lgbtq+-friendly. **Please note:** not suitable for quarantine or self-isolating. Attached to a unique 200-year-old captain's house in the lovely little village of Canning, the studio apartment has heated floors downstairs and beautiful wooden walls and floors in the upstairs loft with a single bed, a double futon and a futon couch downstairs. There is not a full kitchen, but we do provide a coffee maker, microwave, convection oven and little fridge. With artist owners living in the main house, it is perfect place to explore the Annapolis Valley, with a 5 minute drive to the beach, close to hiking /snowshoeing/cross country ski trails, plus close to the delightful university town of Wolfville. With a little fire pit in the backyard, guests are welcome to enjoy our yard and deck with hammock in summer and the cozy amenities in winter. Generally the studio is meant to be self sufficient for a brief stay and there is no need to be in the main private house. Depending on booking period, we might be available, or will leave numbers for guides. With local arts and food festivals like Devour and Deep Roots, the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, rich history of the Mi'kmaq, Acadian and Planter communities, and natural adventures (kayaking, hiking in Cape Split, etc) all close by, this is an ideal home base for exploring the best of Canada's east coast. Only an hour to the South Shore and Halifax. Car is essential. For longer stays we do require access to the laundry which is in the studio bathroom, but will always check for an appropriate time. Because of our pets, it is not suitable for people with allergies - we do our best with getting rid of their hair, but it is like terrible magic that reappears the moment before a guest arrives! There is no smoking of any kind either in the yard or in the studio, and we ask that there aren't extra guests visiting or parties in the studio. It is not suitable for covid self-isolation.
