The Aviary at Espamar

A bird watcher's playground. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, this newly constructed home was built to host visitors who are looking for an adventure in nature in all its glory. The common room boasts spectacular panoramic views and the entire home is appointed with colorful Costa Rican art and artifacts. All photos were taken on-site and feature capuchin monkeys lorikeets and other local birds. Hosts are fluent in Spanish, English and American Sign Language. Airport transport $30 The property is on 3 acres in a gated community. The host lives on-site but the house is divided. Doña Ana beach is minutes away and transportation is available $10 each way per-group. Daily tour drop off and pick up is also available. Guest are welcome to purchase food and prepare their own meals or to purchase meals the host prepares. One bath is exclusive for guests the other may be shared for large groups. There is a shared living area and kitchen, guests have a private living room which doubles as a second bed room for up to four with a TV/DVD/Monitor and the bed room has cable TV with US and European channels. There is a DVD library. One bathroom is exclusively for guests. The second bath may be shared for large groups. One host is Deaf and uses ASL to comunícate but writes in English and limited Spanish. There are flashing door bells that may be used to get her attention to attend to needs. The community is comprised of acre and a half lots. The gate is closed and guests must call to request the gate be opened. Guests may obtain a key or remote to open the gate. There is ample parking. Daily tours pick up at the property. Airport transportation is available each way. There is bus transportation from the bus stop about a mile from the property to Esparza and the bus station in Esparza has frequent transportation to Puntarenas and San Jose and other points in Costa Rica. The road from the property to Esparza is a frequent cycling trail used by local cycling clubs. Arenas Travel CR (Email hidden by Airbnb) pick guest up at the Aviary property daily as requested and offer trips to Tortuga Island, Scuba diving, volcano tours, zip-line, rafting, surfing, rainforest, cloud-forrest, coffee tours, cities tours, hanging bridges, Manuel Antonio Park, San Lucas, Crocodile or Monkey boat tours. Waterfalls, ATV tours, Macaw Sanctuary, Surf Lessons, hot spring adventures and any other desired tour.
