Peaceful Room with Stunning View and Sauna

Private room with stunning view and Sauna. Perfect for long term stays and people wanting to extend! The upper deck is perfect for sunsets while sipping a lovely beverage. Downtown is less than 10 minutes, as are most of the main things to do in Roanoke. It feels far away here, but is super close to all that Roanoke offers. The views overlook downtown and the airport. The highway is about 10 minutes away! My house is on the side of a mountain overlooking Roanoke Valley and city. You can see the sunrise and the sunset and watch the storms roll through. There are 2 levels of decks and a wonderful swing to sit on to watch the sunset or over look the valley. There is an infrared sauna downstairs as well! The mattress was recently upgraded to a nice serta pillowtop. My current calendar is set for long term stays. If you are looking for dates not showing as available, please contact me as I may be able to open them up. I am also open to adding on weekly to the monthly rental, so you don’t have to book for an additional 30 days. We can discuss this after you arrive if you would like to stay longer. The room is on the 2nd level which has 3 bedrooms. I rent the other 2 other rooms on Airbnb so there may be an opportunity to meet new people as my home attracts really cool people! The bathroom is shared with one of the other potential guests. I haven't had any quests leave the bathroom messy yet. The house is super quiet and we all try to respect each others space. On the same floor is the washer and dryer, which can be used for a $1.50/load fee unless you are staying longer than 5 days. You will have access to a very well-appointed kitchen as long as you clean up after yourself and put everything back the way you found it. If I am using the living room you are welcome to join me and if I am gone, feel free to make full use of it and the TV. I don't have cable, only antenna and Netflix. My usual guests are normally travel nurses who work night shift or business professionals who just want a quiet place to rest and cook a meal or two. The house is set up for people working at a business and not at the house. I have had guests mention they can't believe how quiet the house is when they are here and some have never even met the other guests during their stay. I travel quite a bit and may not be here when you stay, but I have the best cohost and next-door neighbor ever. She stays on top of things and is my right hand. Because I travel and Jess isn’t always there and doesn’t know what belongs to whom, there are some detailed instructions for use of the kitchen so that my home remains clean and aesthetically pleasing. Host has wipes on-site that ambulances use for disinfection. It kills everything. I also have a high-end air purifier and a humidifier. The house is not set up for traveling nomads (work from home) it is more suitable for those that have a job in town. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out and ask! -This is a drug and smoke-free house. Vaping and smoking will need to happen outside. -No personal guests in the home out of respect to other people in the house -Only 1 car per room. I don't have the ability to accommodate additional vehicles -Kitchen is available only if you clean up after yourself and put everything back after use. I am always available to answer any questions and have a house guide that answers more than you can think to ask! My house is on a small road, it almost looks like a driveway. Everyone makes it work and it is rare to see more than 1 car at a time. You must own a car or plan to use uber. Roanoke is an amazing area full of little and big things to do. If you are outdoorsy, this is the place for you. There is also a great music, art, yoga and beer scene. Please be aware there will be another roommate in the house that may be on nightshift.
