It has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom (with hot-water shower) a dining/kitchen space and a small enclosed patio - all fully furnished. Free Wifi access and cable tv are available for use. Guests can access the entire apartment because it designated to them. They will have free access to reliable Cable TV and WiFi connections. The host will be available to assist guests with directions to groceries, banks, attractions, etc. Tacarigua is a village that sits at the foothills of the majestic northern range and tropical forest in the east of Trinidad. It is a 7-minute drive to the Piarco International Airport (POS) and a 25-minute drive to the capital city, Port-of-Spain. The University of the West Indies is located to its west, a mere 10-minute drive away. Tacarigua is home to vast open-air recreational grounds where walkers, joggers, track athletes, cricketers, soccer players and zumba dancers all intermingle in an environment of sport, exercise, play and fun. The private home is located a 3-block walk to recreational grounds (hockey, tennis, soccer, cricket). It is roughly the same 3-block walk to the Eastern Main Road and Priority Bus Route - two major public transportation thoroughfares. For guests who prefer to hire a local driver to get them to and from specific destinations, the host will provide reliable and safe referrals. If you are driving, onsite parking is available. The pleasant sounds of the Kiskidee birds are daily reminders of the tropical environment as they flit around the nearby mango trees. Also outdoors, one may see a humming bird or hear a cock crow to announce a new day. It is all part of the allure of what is natural and present in the village life. In the rear yard you will find thyme (both types), shadow benny, tumeric and bay leaf (herbs) for your cooking use. Feel free to pick the guavas and mangoes when they are in season.
