It's situated on the border of Santa Theresa & Lapa, 10 minutes walk to Lapa arches. There are several supermarkets around the corner. House is secure and neighbours nice. Many buses stop right in front and go all the way to Leblon taking you past all the nice neighbourhoods. And of course the beaches! For example, bus 433, 434 and 464 stop practically in front of the house and take you to all the beaches down south & back. Buses literally in all directions, only 5 minutes to Centro where you can also take the metro, trains and long distance buses to outside Rio like Ilha Grande or Buzios at the Rodoviaria. Around the corner, where the bus stop is, also pass many taxi's any time of day. Uber has become the recommended alternative, check the apartment manual for details and instructions.
