Parking is available but NOT for extremely large SUV Call me anytime for assistance The home is 15 minutes walking to the train (E or J lines) or 5 minutes by cab. Both trains run into Manhattan. The E will take you to Times Square and the J will take you downtown to the financial district. The local bus to the train stops one minute away from the door and passes every 20 minutes. The home is also located close to the end of the line of the airport shuttle train. If you take the shuttle train to Jamaica avenue (end of the line) exit the station and jump into a cab (always one available) you will be at the house in 5 minutes and save on cab fare from the airport. The cab will hit you a cool $20 to $25 whereas a cab from the train station may charge you around $7 or $8. Very important always buy an unlimited metro card from the train station for the days you will be in NY. This allows free transfer from bus to train or visa versa. With an unlimited card you can get on the bus and train at anytime, anywhere with just a swipe. Therefore, when leaving for the airport, you can use your metro card on the local bus to the train station, walk up to the top level and get the airport shuttle (there is a charge of $5 to enter the shuttle) to take you to your terminal. Evaluate first whether this will be cheaper than using a cab. I think it's so much faster and cheaper than a cab but you decide base on your family size. When purchasing your metro card, ask what age kids are free. Therefore, it becomes easy for you to leave the house jump on the local bus and get to the train in a few minutes at no extra cost
